Race: New Orleans and FCHS

When the mayor of New Orleans announced to the world at a news conference that he was “building an all chocolate city,” in the background you could hear cheers of “all right, yes, praise the Lord.” He made the mistake of telling the everyone his agenda.

Now let’s take a look at page All of the Jan. 25, 2006, edition of The Citizen, scroll down to the picture with the caption “FCHS boys ready for the challenge”, did you notice a black coach, with a 99 percent black team, with one “token white”?

“All right, yes, praise the Lord”, did you parents just sit back and give away 99 percent of your white son’s chance for a sports scholarship to college?

Do we need to attend the Fayette County Board of Education meetings to request that some white boys be bused in to Fayette County to achieve at least a 50 percent equal opportunity to be on the Fayette County basketball team or should we just sit back and watch the New Orleans mayor’s agenda be met here in this city?

There's more problems like this in several sports in
more than 1 Fayette school. I call it like I see it.
