So, is former mayor still controlling Logsdon?Tue, 02/07/2006 - 5:27pm

It’s fun to watch Direct PAC’s court jester John Dufresne squirm in the newspaper. It’s like he’s got a bad case of irritable bowel syndrome or something. John made sarcastic remarks in the newspaper all during the election and now it’s catching up with him. Bad old Cal Beverly didn’t say the right things about the PAC’s puppet and John is doing his outright best to show Cal where he’s wrong. Mayor Logsdon voted in favor of a residential rezoning to a higher density, and John blames Logsdon’s vote on former Mayor Steve Brown. Somehow, Steve mysteriously got inside of Mayor Logsdon’s head and forced an “aye” vote out of him. Mayor Logsdon probably had no control of his bodily functions until the next agenda item. Mayor Logsdon voted against a garbage monopoly. That’s good, no, John says that’s bad, well, either way it’s Steve’s fault, too. John wants his developer friends in the PAC to get their dirty little hands on Peachtree City’s sewer capacity so they can triple the number of houses in East Coweta. John, wisely telling us in advance, said any decision that Mayor Logsdon makes to extend the sewer into Coweta in the future to help his campaign buddies is Steve’s fault. That would have been a hard one to figure out, John; thanks for attributing the blame for Mayor Logsdon’s future decision on Steve way ahead of time. Oh, now for the grand finale, John has let us know up front, with any vote the PAC’s Mayor Logsdon makes regarding annexation in the future, the fault belongs to Steve. I hope you’re satisfied, Cal. Steve has so much control over the future votes of Mayor Logsdon that we don’t stand a chance. He must be using a voodoo doll. The PAC had such great confidence in Mayor Logsdon’s leadership ability they actually picked up a second candidate to support in the mayor’s race, just in case. The bank and the developers want their ill-gotten gains and we’ll see if Mayor Logsdon obeys his handlers. If the city needed financial expertise, it should have kept Councilman Steve Rapson. I suppose that we can now look forward to several years of crying from the PAC’s court jester on why Mayor Logsdon had no choice in giving the farm away. MSG H. Jones, Ret. |
