Obama Democrats start class war to socialize U.S., redistribute wealth

By: Letters to the ...

After a month and a half of Obama, I can’t stand it anymore. I have to vent before I explode. Our republic is not long for this world for several very clear reasons.

First of all, there are two types of people in the world (by people, I mean able-bodied adults). They are not the whites and blacks, the Christians and Muslims, or cat people or dog people. The two types of people are those who produce more than they consume and those who consume more than they produce.

Those who produce more than they consume are self-reliant, motivated, and hard-working. They are the horses who pull the wagon. They are net savers and investors. They produce the capital to make capitalism work.

The only problem is that every year there are fewer and fewer of them. They pull the wagon in spite of the tyrannical confiscation of the fruits of their labor by all levels of government. Without them we would starve in the gutter (except there would not be a gutter without these people to build it).

The second group are like ticks on a dog; they rely to varying degrees on the productive people to survive.

In generations past this was a very small group made up of orphans, the handicapped, and the mentally ill. People cared for their own children and elderly.

Today, at least half the population gets a subsidy from the government. This subsidy is of course confiscated from the productive people in society.

Whether it is Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, crop supports, welfare, earned income tax credits, or earmarks for bridges to nowhere, it is all the same. They are taking from one to give to another.

Even Thomas Jefferson said that government should not separate money from the hand that earned it. FDR and LBJ would both be disgusted by the end result of their socialist programs.

The welfare state has not improved the lives of people; quite the contrary. The poor (of all races) are more likely to be out of work, on drugs, in gangs, and birthing bastard children. They are less likely to apply themselves in school, save for a rainy day, or attempt to better their job skills.

Seventy years of socialism has not broken the cycle of poverty, and it never will. These people have become complacent with their subsidies. They view them as a constitutional right instead of a welcome hand up.

The dog still has ticks; they are just a whole lot larger and more numerous.

Socialism just plain cannot work in the long run. It is human nature to sit on your butt when someone else is providing for you. In the short term, idealistic zeal may carry socialism. But in the end it will take Stalinism to flog the work out of the populace without the profit motive.

In capitalistic societies, people work to better themselves with their own industry. In socialistic societies people only work hard because they are scared the secret police will arrest them if they don’t.

If we keep incrementally moving toward socialism, we will lose our freedom. Freedom and true liberty can only exist in a society of self-reliant people.

In a society based on the constitution, property rights, and contract law, it should not be possible for the government to “redistribute wealth.”

This is tyranny; the Constitution has been set aside and construed to allow the abomination that has become the U.S. Government.

Why are we, the productive in society, so complacent? Our forefathers fought a revolution over minor taxes and colonial government interference. Eighty years later they fought a civil war over states’ rights to self-determination.

We are being gradually enslaved on the government plantation, and we don’t care enough to do something about it.

We need a new political party. The Democrats are either pure socialists or control freaks who want to build up unlimited power. The Republicans are pathetic. They are either Democrat-Lite, religious zealots, or special interest lobbyists. And, yes, some of them are control freaks, too.

None of them are standing up for the original meaning of the Constitution, property rights, small government, and freedom to live as you like. The libertarians are the closest we come to a party for the self-reliant and the free.

One last thing, we are not a democracy. The United States is a constitutional republic. Our forefathers distrusted democracy for a very good reason. In a democracy, the majority rule, period. They can oppress a minority or take an individual’s life and property at a whim.

In a constitutional republic you are protected from the tyranny of the majority. You are free to work hard to better your station without having it arbitrarily confiscated.

Obama and his party are starting a class war. They will take everything you have, including what’s left of your freedom, if you let them. Fight back. You can either run away (emigrate), revolt economically and organize politically, or take the abuse.

I am glad I got that off my chest. I feel much better now.

In a free and open election President Obama was voted into office by a large majority.

He made several campaign promises that everyone could hear or read. He is now doing what he promised to do. There is no hidden agenda; he is fulfilling his promises.

After eight years of conservative policies America has almost been driven into a recession. Now conservatives tell us we need to continue to follow their ideas and ideals. No! You had your time and you failed.

Another unprovable theme in many letters is the notion that conservatives are more patriotic and all around better Americans. Please go to this web site- http://www.awolbush.com/whoserved.html to read what prominent Democrats and Republicans have served in the military. Surely, serving ones country is a patriotic action. Democrats are proud of their service to America and no one should show fear of their programs to restore America to greatness again.

Only 63% of 208,323,000 eligible voters turned out. 131.2 million voters. Of that number 69,456,897 or 52.92% voted for Obama. Why do I mention this? Well, of really only 32% or 33% of the registered voting public elected Obama.

So, the people who didn't vote for him are the true majority. This includes those who intellectually refuse to vote for the lesser of two evils.

One more thing that ALL of us need to throw off this false left-right paradigm generated by the media. They are ALL on the left. Obama has already fudged on pulling the troops out. He said troops will be pulled out IMMEDIATELY when he took office. Nope. First it was we'll look in six months, then 16 months, now its 2011-2012.

Wake up!

Excuse me Darth, but you are mistaken with regards to troop pullout schedules.

Obama's campaign website always...ALWAYS... stated Obama's position was to withdraw troops from Iraq within 16 months. After consulting with military leaders upon assuming the presidency that an 18 month withdrawal schedule made more sense.

but you are mistaken in believing anything the government tells you. The truth that you refuse to see is that the US military will NEVER leave Iraq. That's right, I said NEVER.

The reason: FOUR Ramstein sized Air Force bases with barracks for tens of thousands of soldiers, and a embassy the size of Vatican City. Too much money, concrete, and steel have been invested to just LEAVE. These places have been built for the purpose launching further attacks on other countries in the region, who refuse to capitulate to the US foreign policy that they should live the way we do, or we will bomb them.

So tell us DD, what do you know about either Ramstein or Iraq? If you knew anything about out miitary strengths and availability, you wouldn't make such illogical comments. While it may give you some sort of a "feel good" rush, it just isn't logical.

Which is it? Sixteen months as in the campaign promise? Originally it was immediatley (for political expediency I presume). But, that change in the summer of '08, when he met with Generals in the field. The response changed to 16 months. Then a few weeks ago, the Rookie said within 18 months. Now, it's looking more like 2012. Is his teleprompter really a magic crystal ball that has ever changing memos of the future? Or, is he just making it up as he goes, and keeps getting corrected by people in the know? Pinnochio was a cool puppet too.

He promised earmark reform all during his campaign. Now he has singed a stimulus bill and omnibus spending bill into law laiden with pork. Immediately afterward he says that they are going to start working on earmark reform. Honestly, I don't think this guy even knows how to read the bills that are put before him. Princess Pelosi says "Sign It" and he signs it.

I recognize that as a Republican, you are honor-bound to accentuate the negative, but quite frankly I've been very pleased with Obama's performance after 7 weeks in the White House. Polifacts is tracking the status of the 500+ campaign promises that Obama made in 2008, after seven weeks he has delivered on 17, compromised but ultimately delivered on 7 more, had 3 stalled in Congress and broken 2. That's a very good batting average for a politician.

If your child brought home a test where he/she got 24 out of 26 right, would you punish them for failing to be perfect?

"I recognize that as a Republican, you are honor-bound to accentuate the negative..."

That statement alone is laughable. All one has to do is peruse some of your "contributions" the last year or so to see where you and Main have reset the negativity bar to new stratospheres when bashing a sitting president.

"....quite frankly I've been very pleased with Obama's performance after 7 weeks in the White House."

Well, Sniffer seems like everyone doesn't share that glowing praise with you....

"....a majority of the 49 economists polled by the Wall Street Journal are dissatisfied with the administration's economic policies.

President Obama and Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner received failing grades for their efforts to revive the economy from participants in the latest Wall Street Journal forecasting survey.

Their assessment stands in stark contrast with Obama's popularity with the public, with a recent Wall Street Journal/NBC poll giving him a 60 percent approval rating. But a majority of the 49 economists polled is dissatisfied with the administration's economic policies.

On average, they gave the president a mark of 59 out of 100, and although there was a broad range of marks, 42 percent of respondents graded Obama below 60. Geithner fared even worse, with an average grade of 51. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke scored better, with an average 71.

Geithner unveiled the Obama administration's plans Feb. 10, but he offered few details, and stocks sank on the news. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down almost 20 percent since the announcement, as multiple issues have weighed on investors' confidence."

And then, that bastion of political fairness...., that right-wing network/website.....wait a minute, Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews? must be left-wing as hell....MSNBC is conducting an online poll on how President Urkel is doing so far:

If you were grading Barack Obama on his performance as president, what would he get? * 299317 responses

He gets an A
40%

He gets a B
8.2%

He gets a C
3.9%

He gets a D
8.3%

He gets an F
40%

Hmmmm, that seems odd that 52% are giving him a C, D or F. 40% give him an F ??? You might expect that from old "fair and balanced Fox News", but not Chris and Keith's home base.

OBAMA again today showed what a GREAT leader he is... He Said "ABSOLUTELY NO EARMARKS.. And I Mean it" but yet he just signed the bill with 9000 of the dang things for BILLIONS of dollars.. in TAXPAYERS money.. All the while saying uhhh it was last years spending.. Say WHAT??!!! He has a little power called the VETO and the Goverment could continue on with Resolutions without a Omnibus package.. But Pelosi, Reid and Feinstine told him in no uncertain terms "Hands Off" our goodies.. it's our money and we want it now.. Sounds like an Irritating commercial we all know..
Snotty you can justify it anyway you want.. Oh he has done so many good things... Like What...?? It dosn't matter he made good on some obscure little Campaign promise that don't mean anything to anybody.. This was the real deal.. His chance to give us some real CHANGE.. and what did he do.. he crumpled like a cheap suit to Reid, Pelosi and the rest.. and yes the Republicans that signed on for the PORK too..

I will not lower my standards.. So UP YOURS.. Evil

I don't ever recall calling you anything but the name that you identify yourself with.

Tell the people that are getting jobs about the 'obscure' things that Obama has done; tell this to the teachers throughout this nation that may not be laid off because of the funds that have been allocated to states through this recovery bill. What about those southern governors who swore they would not take any of the funds - and have taken the funds. Are they liars also - or just politicians who realize that if they leave their citizens in the lurch - they won't return to the hallowed halls of their capitals. Lindsey - the 'government',national and local, could not continue at this rate without getting these funds into the public sector NOW! 53% of Democrats and 49% of Republicans had 'earmarks' in last years bill. That is the first truly bipartisan action I've seen this year!!

He/She insist on trying to be the schoolyard bully and call "names" well I was so distraught over it.. I decided to give up being an intelligent adult and decided to decend to his depth.. SO from now own sniff is snotty.. nough said bout that..
Now to your "points"..
1.Tell the people that are getting jobs about the 'obscure' things that Obama has done.. Tell me who are these people.. Is it the Swine smell researchers? How many jobs did Obama Create with that one.. or was it the Grape Genetic foundation.. How many Jobs for that one? How about the Mormon Cricket funds.. How many Jobs for that?
2.tell this to the teachers throughout this nation that may not be laid off because of the funds that have been allocated to states through this recovery bill. .. What teachers are threatened by lay-offs.. I may have missed it but an "IF" is not a job creation.. A potential JOB SAVED.. does not count.. but in Obamanomics 101 it might.
3. What about those southern governors who swore they would not take any of the funds - and have taken the funds... What has that got to do with job performance and campaign promises???
4. the 'government',national and local, could not continue at this rate without getting these funds into the public sector NOW! 53% of Democrats and 49% of Republicans had 'earmarks' in last years bill. That is the first truly bipartisan action I've seen this year!! Here is a big one.. so I will apoligize for the caps..WHY IN HECK DO WE (TAXPAYERS) HAVE TO FUND STATES THAT COULD NOT KEEP THEIR SPENDING IN CHECK..??? It's their UNIONS and piss poor administration which has done them in.. i.e. ATLANTA.. How is this my/our responcibility??

SO I WILL SAY IT AGAIN... WHY DIDN"T OBAMA KEEP HIS CAMPAIGN PROMISE OF "NO EARMARKS PERIOD" The Republicans missed their chance to prove they were not democrat lite.. and Obama missed his chance to prove he can keep his word..

I will not lower my standards.. So UP YOURS.. Evil

What teachers are threatened by lay-offs.. I may have missed it

You've got to read more than the 'talking points'. The threat of 'lay-offs' or furloughs, or pay-cuts have been in all the main media throughout the country because of states that are having financial problems, Vetoing this bill would have created havoc throughout the country. Let's see if the states spend money on 'bridge to nowhere' projects. We're watching - look what happened to the Senator from Alaska when he insisted on his 'earmark' after Katrina! Earmarks will no longer be allowed to 'sneak-through' after this year. . .and we'll be watching the states and representatives that put them in this bill. These 'earmarks' are just a small percentage of the total funding. Obama thought more of the people in need - rather than his standing at this time. Did you listen to the news tonight? More companies are hiring because of the stimulus - and the market did not go down. (It may tomorrow - but with people working, we may get this deficit down before our grandchildren are saddled with it.) . . .and if this does not work within this year or two - at least we will know about it and hopefully the world economists are working on a plan B along with the experts in the US. You stayed 'supportive' of Bush for 8 years. Obama has had less than 100 days - and has accomplished over half of his 'promises'. I think the American people still have 'hope'.

You and Garvin predicted that Obama would never win – so your credibility at this point is suspect. Have a nice evening.

Dm first please Resurrect any posting from me predicting OBAMA's loss.. I was not a blogger on this site then.. soooo it will be hard to do so.. Those that know me.. knew I was predicting him to win.. So to so Blatantly try to "win" your argument by spraying the bushes hoping to hit something is weak at best..
P.S. My pic on here is the "Libertarian Party Symbol" that might clue you in on my "support of Bush" as well..

As far as the Teachers go.. that "might" be facing loss jobs.. I hate it as I do for the Factory workers.. as I do for the City workers .. as I do for the public sector workers.. The point here is "WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD".. Why should Teachers "NOT FEEL THE PAIN" like everyone else.. What puts them above everyone else.. I know they have a better union..
That still does not answer my question on "WHY OBAMA SIGNED THE PORKOLISOUS PACKAGE"? He lied when he said he was going to veto all earmarks and no amount of "justifing" the deed matters..

I will not lower my standards.. So UP YOURS.. Evil
