Don Rehwaldt Consummate Politician or “Mad Cow”

Prior to getting elected as Tyrone’s “leader” Don Rehwaldt championed:
Prompt recording and publishing of Council Minutes on the web
Preservation and replacement of trees at Triangle Park
Strict code enforcement of all ordinances
Clear and descriptive listing of council agenda items

After getting elected as Tyrone’s “leader”
Last minutes published on the web three months ago in December 2008
Cutting almost one-half of the remaining large trees on Triangle Park
Fired code enforcement officer resulting in no enforcement of local ordinances
Publishes encrypted council agenda requiring a decoder ring to find out what the council is doing

Consummate Politician? “Mad Cow”? or simply a product of Grace?

Now that Tyrone has changed Triangle Park to Veterans Memorial Park, the Veterans are concerned about that plaque with the names honoring Barry Amos, Valerie Fowler, Sheryl Lee, Paul Letourneau and Michael Smola. Those Vets who fought and died for Freedom and the Constitution are loathed to have their memory associated with those who trampled on individual rights.

People have been wondering why they’re keeping that plaque. It looks more like a cemetery headstone than a plaque. If they won’t remove it, then the words “killed in Action” and “May They Rest in Peace” should be added.
