National Taxation Tea Party Begins

Like their constitutional freedom loving colonial forefathers before them, American men and women staged spontaneous “tea parties” Friday all over the Nation. From Michigan to Texas, California to Washington DC and all points in between, the message was no more socialist tax and spend policies. At the State Capital in Atlanta 300 protesters gathered in the rain, inspired by their National leader, Rick Santelli of CNBC.

They handed out inflationary trillion dollar bills with the faces of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid symbolizing Obama’s “Taxation without Representation”. Chants of “DON’T TREAD ON ME” and “TAKE BACK AMERICA” resounded loud and clear. Georgia State Senator, Chip Rogers(R-Woodstock) spoke to the crowd urging them to find the socialists in office and “KICK THEM OUT!”

Fayette Countians can start with the Socialists on the FCBOE; Janet “the jigs up” Smola, Terri “tax em” Smith and “wrong way" Lee Wright. Americans have finally realized these socialists have changed what so many have fought and died for - freedom from oppressive government. Give me another cup of tea please.

The "National Taxation Tea Party" has been exposed as nothing more than a series of publicity stunts orchestrated by the ultraright wing John Birch Society designed solely to embarass President Obama.

Sniffles are you saying that anyone who protests higher taxes is an ultra right wing affiliate of the John Birch Society? And the only purpose is to embarrass Obama? That’s absurd! I’m one of the protestors and have nothing to do with the John Birch Society. There are millions of people who don’t think the government can spend its way out of debt like Obama is trying to; and that he will create terrible inflation which destroys the buying power of the dollar. Please tell everyone, that if you owed far more money than you could ever pay back, how you could spend more of your money to keep from going bankrupt? Or would you just spend my money to pay off your personal debts?

That sounds eerily similar to the series of publicity stunts, dirty tricks, and outright lies orchestrated by the ultraleft wing designed solely to embarrass President Bush.

Good! All of us ultra-conservatives need all the help we can get to stop governments from adding more taxes. We welcome John Birch to the No Tax Tea Party. Does the KKK and Skinheads also drink tea? How about some old Nazi war criminals. Are there any old ultra conservatives left over from Mussolini’s fascist party? How about Charles Lindberg’s old depression era’s America First Party. Any ancestors of Joe McCarthy? OR, “I Shall Return”, General Douglas McArthur. Anyone left in America like that original tea partier that said, “Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death!? Come one come all to save America from the Socialist, Marxist and Communist supporters of our government.

While we’re waiting on the ultra-conservatives, tell Rick Santelli to give me another cup of tea to wash down Obama’s additional 30 billion he just flushed down the AIG toilet yesterday.

"...designed solely to embarrass President Bush."

That was the one thing Bush was a pro at, never needing help from anyone or any group - he was the master of self-embarrassment.

He's already off to such a great start.

By the way, if Bush didn't need help why did you guys kill yourselves doing it then?

I'm sure you're not referring to the over 4000 young men and women who lost their lives 'helping' our country under the leadership of Bush. I'm sure you'll clarify your statement. I don't blame all of our missteps on Bush - but he was the president - and the buck stops there. I must say I admire him for not caving in to Cheney - and pardoning Scooter.

I've read your posts for quite some time now and you are an intelligent person. I'm not sure if you are trying to provoke me because I am no fan of your hero Barry or if you have had a bit of a senior moment here. Let me make one thing clear for you. To insinuate that I would take lightly the lives lost under the command of any president is a slap in the face. I have never posted anything remotely resembling that type of thought here.

Having said that, that is the only thing I will clarify for you. If you want to bother to reread the thread yourself, it is pretty clear what I meant. But, I think you knew what I meant all along.

The statement was not meant to provoke - sincerely wanted a clarification because others who read your post wondered who 'they' were and directed me to your post - since I have mentioned you to others as an example of 'female conservative' thought. Many ‘newcomers’ read The Citizen to get a feel for the thought in the community. In the past you have written with such venom regarding some issues, that it was ‘thought’ that you meant those who died fighting for our country as ‘they’ Don't clarify anything if you feel it isn't necessary. Thanks. (By the way – ‘Barry’ won – and I have no hard feelings towards anyone.)

Well, if you were sincere, it was simple. Main Stream was explaining to us all that Pres Bush needed no help embarrassing himself, that he was a master of that. My question was if he needed no help embarrassing himself, why did the left fall all over themselves trying to embarrass him further? It was a rhetorical question anyway.

Couple of other items:

Venom is reserved for those who dish it out towards me.

Not that I am hurt to be described as "an example of female conservative thought".....I just think my kids are pretty sure their Dad is a guy. And, Hutch has met me. He can vouch that I would make one ugly female.....

Two things here, I feel it was a extreme stretch on your part to tie what he said to our soldiers when clearly meant the Dems, also moc is a male, I met him a few months ago and while I admit I've never seen him naked( no offense moc, but I don't want to either) he is a male. Also I never saw the word 'they' in either of his posts.

I yam what I yam....Popeye

extreme stretch on your part

No stretch on my part - just answering a comment made to me by another reader. Sorry about the 'gender' issue. Thanks for the clarification MOC - and I will correct the 'label' that I gave your contributions to discussions. During the election some friends asked me who I talked to in a 'Red' state. They have found the ideas expressed here very informative and interesting - and sometimes entertaining. Have a blessed day.

Pretty coincidental, I was just using you as a reference on my "maleness". No hurt feelings about the naked thing either. I don't even want to see me naked.

Thanks for the backup!!!

The thugs and desperados are kicking in our doors while the remaining few of us are still at work, looking to rob and pillage in search of their next meal or crack rock, to take them away from the misery that has become America. People are taking up arms and shooting them on sight as they come through the front door. The same thing is going on in Washington as the politicos, pilfer and pillage the last of the entitlements that they can get their hands on as they head for the door.... Its time to bear arms folks, to those of you that do not have them, i emplore you to arm yourself before the shooting starts.. As Washington and the new administration starts to contemplate changes to the constitution, to enslave the general public. This is the same thing that happened in 1930,s Germany during Hitlers rise to power, while i am not trying to compare America to Germany, it is ironic how the economic conditions we see now will be used to justify the means of instilling socialisim into our society in the name of saving the economy.... Knowledge is power folks, put down the blackberry, hang up the phone, turn off the playstation, and get involved in your community before it is too late, then when the shooting starts at very least you will be prepared.....GOD BLESS US ALL.......
