Peachtree City officials are hoping to make it easier for vendors to serve alcohol at the Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater this concert season.

The City Council voted last week to cut its alcohol license fee for the vendor from $5,000 a year to $2,500. That reflects a discount previously offered by the Peachtree City Tourism Association, which operated the facility through last season.

The city is directly operating the amphitheater now under manager Nancy Price. There are 16 concerts scheduled at the amphitheater this season.

It is BYOB anyway, come prepared. I get hammered before the conerts, pack a cooler full of booze, then drive my golf cart (packed with drunks) to see a crap band play. Spyro Gyro anyone? Didn't think so.
