Why I am an Independent moderate

Isn't the 5-6% across the board pay cut for many of the county education department (with some strange exceptions) totally a SOCIALISTIC thing to do?

These people making this decision are mostly "conservatives (read republican voters) yet they don't want to sort out the best to keep working as good CAPITALISTS would actually do,

Share and share alike is an old socialistic thing.
They don't even bother to evaluate everyone, including teachers, as time goes on, so that they know who is the best and it is documented!

Also, some thing are obvious----failure to prepare for these recession times indicates that we pay the wrong people way too much money to foresee these things!

I know, it is all basically caused by a school board who dictates these strange methods of handling people, but maybe we need to extinguish this old, "good old boy," thing also.

Who runs and is responsible for the outcome of our schools anyway? Is it the school board, the superintendent, the state hierarchy, the federal money contributions, seniority, contracts, tenure, special certificates, color, yell meetings at night, or what?

Want to really know? It is YOU.

many republicans don't mind certain socialistic things---things that benefit them.

Those that benefit others however is another matter entirely.

Regulation of crooks is not wanted by them.

Regulation of airlines is not wanted by them.

Regulation of banks is not wanted by them.

Caring for the poor is not wanted by them--only produces more poor.

Getting graft and stealing out of the transportation department is not wanted by them.

Public transportation money (except for jet planes) is not wanted by them.

Road funds is not wanted by them--but they will take it.

No Federal money is wanted by them but they take it all!
