Arrest made in F'ville Food Depot robberyMon, 02/23/2009 - 11:00am

Fayetteville Police Department on Feb. 20 arrested a 16 year-old male for the robbery of an employee in the parking lot at Food Depot on Jan. 23. On Jan. 23 at about 5:35 PM, an employee of Food Depot, Devin Jenkins, was robbed at gun point as he left the store. Jenkins was approached by the 16 year-old and one other male. The 16 year old displayed a gun to Jenkins and demanded his money. After taking the money, The 16 year-old fled with three other persons in a vehicle. Detectives interviewed several persons throughout the investigation and the 16 year-old was developed as a suspect. As a result of the interviews an arrest warrant for the 16 year-old was issued for armed robbery. The 16 year-old was processed and turned over to Clayton County Youth Detention Center. login to post comments |
