Peachtree City Police are warning the public about a suspicious person who is falsely claiming to raise funds for Promise Place.

Police identified the man as Benjamin Middlebrooks, describing him as a black male about 155 pounds, 5'10" tall with brown eyes and black hair, police said. He is approximately 48 years old.

Middlebrooks entered a local State Farm office Thursday trying to obtain funds on behalf of Promise Place, police said. He was with an unidentified black female whom he said was his wife, also indicating that he had a ministry, police said.

Middlebrooks is not affiliated with Promise Place, police said.

Promise Place is a local non-profit group that provides support and shelter to victims of domestic abuse.

Police are asking local businessmen to notify police at 770-461-4357, the department's non-emergency number, so an officer can respond to the scene.

in Morallion Hills other morning, when i walked up to driver, he drove away. I went and got my keys and followed into the cul de sac but he'd already turned and driven out. As I got back to my driveway he was coming back into the cul de sac, when he saw me he made a 180 and drove off.

I phoned the PTC police and then decided to look on Morallion and Grecken and found him stopped in the cul de sac in Grecken Green.
I put down my window and asked if I could help? No.
Was he lost? No.
Said he worked for the city and was on the job?
Asked what department and he said DPW..
His plate from from Coweta -- I drove back and phoned that in to the police as well. They said it was very suspicious and would send a patrol.

5 minutes later he was stopped again in front of more houses,, just a few doors from the mayors house. Maybe he was DPW after all.

Could they be connected to this Promise place?

Said only 144,000 would be resurrected! Last end of the world predicted in 1975 (third try) was a simple mistake. Got the membership up though.
Join and no military or saluting or singing anthem ever.
Theocratic government way to go.
Rule from Brooklyn by board who self replaces themselves.Invisible deputies pass on the word when required for doctrine change.

No hell to fool with just death and resurrection of 144,000.
All other religions are doomed!

This fellow collecting for battered women might be connected to them!

Wonder if our resident religious prognosticators value the above group as members of that fraternity who will survive?
I'd rather take my chances with Buddha or a Shaman.

OK, but please don't squeeze the Shaman.

I won't squeeze the Charmin--a deadly sin!

I don't know how much you have traveled the world, but I saw the biggest Buddha in the Republic of China once, beside a big river, that I have ever seen--I couldn't have hugged it if I had wanted to do so!

He, She or It was about 25 feet tall, sitting down (of course) and about the same distance around the waste!

Yet, I was more fascinated by the old Catholic Churches in the mountains of Italy, out of Genoa.
They sat on top of the mountains up from the lower villages---one could see them up there, maybe at 2-3 thousand feet.
I asked why up there. It turned out that the roads and villages used to be up there along with the churches but road bandits forced the villages into the valley. (great hordes of Huns, I suppose)?

But, the most fascinating thing was when I asked why are they still there with no people around, and I was told that they were all to house alcoholic Fathers and others with problems!
They didn't seem to mind taking care of the Fathers. I suppose they processed grapes up there?

I only tell you this so you will lay off so much of the fancy beer or you might end up in such a place somewhere.

I hate those people. When I was in college they used to pound on my door every Saturday morning until I answered. Then one morning I put a shotgun in plain sight and brought my two big dogs to the door. Then no more bullshit.

I don't push my beliefs on others. Please don't push you’re beliefs on me.

Actually, if it's the same guy, he has gone even lower. Google him...he's a registered sex offender. Can't they pick him up where he's registered???
