2.) Where do you sign up?

3.) What are the deadlines?

4.) Any fees?

5.) How many votes did it take last time?

6.) Any qualifications required?

I'm not sure you are qualified.

No reason to get your panties in a bunch. I was just asking for you. And what would you consider qualified?

1. You have to declare, file the proper paperwork at the proper times, qualify and campaign. Until the qualifying dates all you can do is declare and file the paperwork you are accepting donations. You cannot accept any, even from yourself, until you do.

2. Get it all from City Hall.

3. To declare, any time through September 4th. For qualifying Dates, click here.

4. Fee is 3% of the annual salary.

5. 2007 election results.

6. Get the full qualifying requirements packet from City Hall. A quick overview is to be a PTC resident, no job or other conflicts with the office sought (some disqualifiers are not obvious), financial disclosure, criminal background and ethics requirements.

Then be ready to make a lot of very clear position statements and answer a lot of questions. After the last two elections I don't believe the old style political vagueness will work any longer.

Why isn't this information on the PTC website?

They don't want to make it easy for people to run against them or let people see how liberal the requirements are. Kinda old fashioned thinking, but consider who we are talking about here.
