Callaway free til March

Since Winter Break is just around the corner, I figured I'd remind everyone that Callaway Gardens is not charging admission til March. Pack up the cooler with a picnic and snacks, load the kids into the vehicle, and run over to enjoy the butterflies and inside flowers. I'd check out what's left of the vegetable garden too since planting time is just around the corner. Enjoy!

That's great - and also "down home" for me. I remember when they built the place, back when to play 18 holes of golf you had to play around twice on the same 9 holes! (but I was never a golfer)

I was born and raised on the opposite side of Pine Mountain though. Pine Mountain Valley - and remember when Chipley was Chipley and Pine Mountain was just that - a mountain.

Last time I was there was for the Christmas Fantasy of Lights.

The Callaway family has done a wonderful job with that venue. For anyone who has never made the trip, it is a nice experience.
