Cheney bloviating!

I saw him yesterday warning that if Obama didn't continue the hard-line terrorist policies of his administration, we would be hit here in the USA again, soon!

Well it seems much of terrorism was moved to Iraq and Afghanistan (5,000 of our dead and 35,000 wounded, as as many as a million of theirs dead) but they are here and were here in his administration.
Just how many did they catch here during his administration? One hand would name them.

The spy satellites and phone spying did nothing to wipe them out.
Now he wants to blame Obama for 15 days in office for the problem.
A real "dude" Cheney is.

Obama pantomiming using a mop said he and Pelosi had to clean up the mess left to him by the previous administration...

Did you really believe that the Bush administration was just going to roll over.. Everytime they turn around Obama is blaming them for something.

Obama was left with a comprehensive plan in Afghanistan.. The plan they (Obama) are using... According to Cheney there was an agreement to keep quiet.. to let Obama have the credit..

Instead Obama’s ego got in his way again and his "It ain't my fault attitude" get him in trouble again....

Once again Obama let his Alligator mouth overload his Hummingbird butt.

So I applaud Dick Cheney.. We have Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton out there telling everyone how bad the last 8 years where.. REALLY.. My portfolio gained 48% under those 8 years of gloom..

"W" has enough class not to go after Obama the way they go after him.. but Dick is under no obligation to do so..

I admire your continued effort in trying to make sense out of nonsense. As I've said before, I find trying to have a conversation/discussion with Lindsey is like herding cats. Some have accused me of 'drinking the kool-aid'. I think Lindsey has bathed in it! But it's fun - and sometimes we are on the same page - and then he goes off on the 'cutisms' - which often are irrelevant. Freedom of expression is what these ‘blogs’ are all about! Eh?

so criticize me all you want.. But all you do is poop over anything you disagree with.. Give us one-liners and talking points.

I offered to have a real discussion/debate with you over healthcare.. You said you wanted too as well.. I created a blog just for that even gave you credit for the proposal.. What did you do.. You responded with "I’m too busy right now, but maybe Sunday.. I did notice you had plenty of time to discuss strange noises and Strategic Air Command all weekend..but did you come and back up your assertions that you made on Healthcare.. Nope.. I am still waiting for that one.

The only discussions people like you, Suggar, Bonkers, Sniffles, Nit and a few others want is one of agreement.. You can't handle facts and arguments so you just crap on it and drive on by.. Not once have any of you broken the argument.. Try actually having a debate lay your facts on the table I will lay mine and we will let the court of public opinion decide who is correct.. Snif already found out how painfully embarrassing that is when he tried to out me.. Opinion ran 4 to 1 against him..

You lost your creds DM.. At least I am willing to stand up for what I believe in..

Having a discussion with someone is sharing and listening to opinions and/or facts. You had already labeled my contribution as 'assertions'. No thanks Lindsey. AH and I (and others) were involved in a discussion based on experience and fact - and the discussion was civil. No one can accuse me after three years on this blog of not standing up for what I believe in. I enjoy 'civil' discussion. Thanks for giving me 'credit'.

"You had already labeled my contribution as 'assertions'"

DO you have a dictionary?

Definition for assertion
- emphatic statement: a strong statement that something is true
- act of stating something emphatically: the act of stating emphatically that something is true
Encarta World English Dictionary

An Assertion does not mean it is true but that one believes it to be..

So was I wrong? So you opt out because I said you believe what you say?

No the real reason DM is you can't back up what you believe.. You believe it but do you know why? Ok I can understand that. Party loyalist only now what they're told to think. You know the "mind numb robots" and all.

I present facts you refuse to present yours..in a debate but I have the problem..

As I said.. I will be glad to meet you in the arena of ideas.. to do battle. But you have to participate.. Failure to do so means you only want to examine your point of view and are not willing to allow an opposing viewpoint into the debate..

I now know you.

then you should fire your Broker.. or hire one as the case fits..

We had a solid 7 years of growth.. Business expanded.. we grew our economy and gained jobs.. Only a fool or a democrat can't see that.

Do you remember under Clinton when the DOW reached 10,000. Everyone praised Clinton said what a fantastic job he was doing...

Where were these same people when it reached 14000 under Bush..? Oh that's right they were saying then that the President has nothing to do with it..

This from a Democrat Strategist crying about the GOOD ECONOMY under President Bush

"Like it or not, people vote with their pocketbooks and when they see these big gains, they will be happy. Couple this with the bigger than ever tax refund checks people we getting (Thanks in no small part to the politically motivated tactic of reducing tax brackets across the board in JULY, and making the bill retroactive, so the first 7 months of overpaid taxes will be INCLUDED in your tax refund...in addition to the doubled child credit and marriage penalty drop...my GOD...I know most of tax cuts help the rich, but this shit really will help middle America with larger refunds. ALSO, since Dubya dropped the steel tariffs, the price of nearly everything with metal in it will be DROPPING over the next few months...meaning more spending...more demand...more products sold...more corporate revenue...more jobs needed...We need to admit this and prepare for it.

The people are going to be happy.
They like their tax reductions.
They like cheap prices on stuff.
They like their 401k's being up 40% this year.

If the economy keeps this pace, unemployment will likely be down to 5.5% by next November and we better have a damn good argument against Bush's policies. Is there any way we can take credit for helping the economy? We certainly are going to need an argument for this next year."

The last year and a half of the Bush term.. you Dems and the MSM preached gloom, despair and agony from the every corner in the land.. Even while the market was rising..

You guys had to have a bad economy.. the market had to crash.. you had nothing else.. Just like the war... you voted for it.. then bad mouthed it to death.. and your lapdogs the msm.. pushed us right over the edge.

So don't give me the BS about the 8 years of gloom..

Well it has become obvious that you ramble and cover up only.

If you think we are in good shape as a coun try now, you are also ill!

I didn't lose any money withe the 2007 devastation of the credit market. I had what I have in federally guaranteed funds except for a small amount of mutuals.

If you have millions in dividend paying stocks then more power to you!

No need to talk about the great Bush years any more!

I have no real reason to doubt that you got well off under Bush's regime. I don't know who Dave Ramsey is.

HOWEVER, MILLIONS WENT INTO THE HOLE, LOST THEIR JOBS AND DON'T HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE. That is the problem. Did you lose a house? How about a pension fund?

Several did take our millions and head for Tahiti, however. Is the Ramsey fellow there?

Oh, now I remember Ramsey---he went bankrupt in the real estate business and the bank foreclosed. He then started selling simplistic methods for financing.

Do you sell his crap? Kinda like Benny Hinn and others isn't he?
Just send the money.

That quote ain't from no Democratic strategist! It's from the WSJ quoting "Leftyandproud," a poster on the DemocraticUnderground Web site.

From the WSJ Opinion Archives

I can't believe you're cruising at the bottom surfing the DU. Even I don't read that stuff. Please tell us you got it from the WSJ.

And comparing Bush's economic record to Clinton's is probably not somewhere you want to go either. When Clinton came in the DOW was at 3754. When he left it was at 10072. That's a 270% increase. When Bush took over the Dow was at 10072. When he left it was at 8054. That's a little over a 20% decline.

Thankfully, due to the Obama boom, we have recovered from the eight year loss under Bush. The stimulus is working as planned and should be peaking about the time of the 2010 elections. Again... just like they planned.

The market has advanced more year-to-year under Democratic administrations than Republican administrations 84% of the time over the last 100 years. Drop out the Republicans presiding over the 1929 crash and the Democratic year-to-year average drops to beating Republican administrations by only 78% of the time. Invest in the Obama boom and make some money. You don't have to tell anyone.

And stay away from the DemocraticUnderground. Don't go over to the Dark Side on us.

Yes, it's great that the market has rebounded but what impact does that have on individual well-being in our society? An example: My daughter is a certified personal trainer. She has several clients who were training with her 3 days a week who have dropped to 1 day a week. For her, that's a 66% drop in revenue. How would you like to experience that when your expenses haven't dropped? Not a good picture.

it is a source of riches beyond dreams.. Oh and don't think that guy was not a statagist.. The Dems followed that text word for word.. I mean look at Bonk and what he said...

I was just pointing out to Bonky that it was not all bad under Bush.. We had a good run.. It did have to end.. at some point..

My biggest disappointment, besides what resides in the White House, is that Vice-President Cheney wasn't the top guy on the ticket. He is and has always been more conservative than Bush ever thought to be, IMHO. Without a doubt, if there was ANY way that he could have been charged with anything and arrested, the Dems would have made it so. I find his candor and insight quite refreshing. He tells it like it is when he is pointing out the inept performance of Obama in dealing with the true CRISIS in Afghanistan.

What happened to all those investigations.. and blah, blah, blah..

If and that a big IF there were criminal acts or violations committed do you really think for an instant that this group of jackbooted thugs would'nt personnally haul him out for the perp walk..

You may not like him.. you may hate him.. I am sure he loses sleep over it. But face it since 9/11 we have not had another attack against us... Why..? Did they just go home..? Did the quit?

No we took the fight to them.. and they ran for the caves.. where they belong. Now we are letting them back out and once again they are getting bolder and stronger.. Weakness is not a sign of compassion.. it is just a sign of weakness and that's all.

Gee, using your logic, we were "hit" in 1993. Clinton attacked and "scared" the terrorists so much that they didn't hit us until Sep. 2001 when a new administration was in power. Guess we didn't have to invade Iraq to "scare" the terrorists. So, do you think that Clinton actually "scared" them? Do you really think Bush intimidated them? Come on, get real. How do you scare suicide bombers? They are going to die for their cause anyway.

Where did you get I said all that?

If you really want to talk about Clinton's culpability we can.. OH YES WE CAN.. Do you want to count how many times we were hit during the Clinton years both here and abroad and our response was?

That's right we blew up an asprin factory and an empty tent. When the Sudan tried to give Bin Laden to us.. Clinton punted and said no thanks.. If he had of taken him would the 9/11 attacks happened? Maybe.. Maybe not..

We prefer to quickly forget people like him Bush, Nixon and Rumsfeld.
Also, all the phoney Generals who didn't speak-up or quit about a terrible war plan.

Big spenders like Reagan, the actor, and his side-kick, Nancero (we are trying hard), are elevated above it all with blabber.

Mr President Clinton, intelligent as he was, had some problems with the Church Ladies, and nearly got himself booted!

No, we aren't going to prolong our suffering with such people.
