Peachtree City Police have made no arrests but continue to interview multiple individuals in relation to the Jan. 22 shooting at the 1024 Ridgefield Drive residence where 36-year-old Philip Shawn Curl was shot in the abdomen and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Peachtree City Police spokesperson Rosanna Dove Monday afternoon said investigators are still interviewing a quantity of people in efforts to determine all aspects of the incident. The department will not be able to release any information until all the required aspects of the case are determined, Dove said.

Peachtree City Police Thursday afternoon spoke with a person of interest in the shooting incident. The unidentified man came to the police department within a few hours of the incident. Dove said the man is not regarded as a suspect.

Investigators initially thought they would need to speak with at least one other person, but by Friday Dove said investigators were still talking with other people and need to talk with a number of others before any action could be taken or charges filed.

Limited details of the Thursday incident include a description of the assailant as being a tall, stocky built white male wearing a black ski mask, camo jacket, khaki pants and brownish work boots. He was reported to have been seen running east on the cart path system, police said.
Dove said detectives from the department are actively investigating the incident and exploring all leads.

Any person with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Peachtree City Police Department at (770)487-8866. You may remain anonymous. Any person who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the offender in this incident is eligible for up to a $1000 reward.

The Peachtree City police department is real good when it comes to harassing teenagers and writing DUI's but don't expect them to run down a real criminal.

you really need to pull your head out of your orifice (and I don't mean mouth). You really feel that getting DUI's off the road is not important?

Obviously you are a habitual drunk driver or you have never had a loved one/family memeber killed by a drunk driver!!! Shame on you.

Harassing teenagers and DUI's? Seriously? DUI's are serious business and I commend them for ticketing for that. As for harassing teenagers, I don't think they do it enough. Their are too many kids running around thinking nothing can touch them because mommy and daddy will pitch a fit if the police try to stop them. Maybe you should stop and think that if the teenagers are doing anything wrong, they won't be "harassed" as you put it.

As for catching a "real" criminal, how do you propose to do that? You want to stop complaining about your taxes and help pay for another 10 positions so they can have a patrol just for the cart paths?

That isn't nearly as bad s several hundred thousand $ per year for helicopters and pilots, (Sheriff) etc., and no captures!

A boondoogle! Along with the Mustangs, Jeeps, etc.

Where were the bike riders and the cart riders? I mean BEFORE the shooting!

Bicycles and Golf carts don't look cool. Why ride a bicycle when you can go 80 mph down a cart path on an ATV? Renecks with toys.

Those rednecks put their life on the line every single day for you. Imagine that officer who responded to the call last week. Imagine having to enter that apartment not knowing what you may find. It is true what they say, "if you want to be hated, become a cop." 90 percent of the post on here are negative about what these officers do, but did you ever think that things aren't worse because of what they are doing? Oh, by they way, my husband is one of those suppose "rednecks" as you call them.
