PTC man jailed in domestic incident

Wed, 01/21/2009 - 5:00pm
By: The Citizen

A Peachtree City woman was hospitalized Tuesday night after a domestic violence incident with her husband at their north Peachtree City home, The Citizen has learned.

The suspect was arrested by police but has not yet been charged, several officials confirmed late Wednesday afternoon. The only information released by police today was that they were investigating a domestic violence incident.

The reason no details are being released is because the suspect had not yet been charged, police said.

The victim's condition was unavailable late this afternoon.

District Attorney Scott Ballard also declined to release any details about the incident but said officials are working diligently to determine exactly what charges to file in the case.

Officials generally have 48 hours within arresting a suspect to formally file charges.

Ketey that wasn't a domestic call in Kedron, it was a car chase. Didn't you see the truck they were chasing?

I live in Kedron Hills and woke up at 2:30 AM Tuesday morning to the sound of police cars racing down my street with sirens wailing. The driveway I think they turned into is not part of my subdivision but is adjacent to it. There were several squad cars involved so I'm assuming that this is probably the domestic incident they're speaking of. Hmmm...they always seem to give the address in cases like this one. I wonder why it was ommitted this time?

City email's caps - not mine - just cut & pasted. And I'm not suggesting it is related to story above. Just FYI

It reminds me of local church gossip. Perhaps the Purple Hatters might be able to get a hold of this one.

Oh, well back to work. Thousands of illegals and welfare people are counting on me to work today. Also I have to drop off my taxes....bah humbug!!

I have no idea what you are talking about with all the names, but I am somewhat plussed by the attitude of you and "dawn" and her attacker, or attentive one, at the bar. Seems like an attention grabber to me in both cases. A holistic interest in names, and working in a bar and not expecting to deal with needful and lonely drunks!

I thought "Red Dress" was gone somewhere! Maybe a new name?

Hard to talk about serious subjects here. Too many twisted ones.
Did you know someone named Barack Hussein Obama was elected and sworn in as President of these United States of America?
Did you know we are TRILLIONS in debt? Do you care?
Do republicans now want government assistance for the states and localities?
Of course they do---most are hypocrites. At least the democrats ask for it themselves, not have a republican do it for them!

Submitted by skyspy on Thu, 01/22/2009 - 8:28am.

NO I don't want gov. assistant for all of the states and cities that have spent way beyond their means.

I am looking forward to my free classes from the new treasury secretary. They are going to teach us all how to "accidently-differently-specially-not" pay our taxes. (it would be politically incorrect to call what he did tax fraud) Geither is the "tax challenged". I can hardly wait for my BIG refund.

Let me help you out here Bonk, as to the names, you're lying, you know exactly what sky is talking about. Dawn doesn't work in a bar you holier then anyone hypocrite, she works in a restaurant. BTW, you fit your definition of a Repub perfectly. you voted for one, that makes you one, plus you're a hypocrite, if a white male candidate had been the Dems nominee you would have had no problem voting for a Dem. It's amazing that someone like you, with all those personalities, and yet not one likable one in the bunch. The true you shows through no matter what the name.

I did not know they had shut down their bar. Sorry.

Again, I am an Independent. That is what they do--vote for the person, not the party regardless of how sorry their candidate is.

As to likable, I do think old dollar or sage had more on the ball than does the others.
Just don't put me in that bunch!

Hey Sky. I wanted to tell you that you were right about that guy I was telling you about - the one that has been harassing me. He was "just laying low". The phone calls have started again, he's come back into the restaurant, and has been seen driving the parking lot again. What's up with this guy? Why won't he just go away?

Your post reminded me because, just prior to his calling me last week at work - he was seen at another establishment hitting himself in the face. That was when, I am told, he called me while sitting at the bar in this other establishment.

I am going to have to break down and file that restraining order, although I really haven't wanted to go that route. My dad has offered to give me my choice of his 22 or his 38. The problem is that the 38 is a long nose revolver and pretty heavy. I can handle the 22 better but it really doesn't have any power. As a woman, which would you prefer?

Small, smooth, easy to conceal, easy to operate, no complicated safteys, just pull it back one time and let her rip. OH yeah full 9mm luger power, world smallest 9mm. pulls right just a tad but no kick. CHECK IT OUT. PEACE.

I keep a Kimber Custom II TLE/RL, .45ACP, with an M6 laser/light combo at the house. Laser and light for the time I may need to use it in the dark. My Springfield XD .45 ACP stays with me. Both are loaded with Federal Hydroshocks. I like the knockdown power of the .45, because it creates a lot more cavity damage than a 9mm or .38. This is due to a higher mass traveling at a lower velocity. The 9mm travels faster and has a lower mass. This basically just punches a hole through things (bodies). The problem with the later, is that you may cause collateral damage to others as the bullet passes through the bad guy.
One issue with using hollow points is penetration through heavy, or leather jackets.
Sorry Guys, I take this stuff a little too seriously.

I too am a 45 aficionado.. My favorite is the Glock 21 with tac light and laser for home defense as well as the Baretta Storm in the same caliber.. It's just a little too much recoil, however for most women..
That is why I have taught my wife to keep pulling the trigger until the threat has been removed..

That's why I bought a Taurus PT609 (9mm) for my wife. She has the titanium model. It's light weight, concealable, and easy to chamber a round. The recoil is minimal, whether using a 105gr or 115gr bullet. She manages to to put rounds on target using the 21ft rule. Not bad for a novice.

Does your wife like to center mass somewhere south of the belt buckle?

That generally only happens when her wrist starts getting fatigued. Somewhere around 100rds. One of the reasons we went with the Taurus over the Glock or XD was the thumb safety. She likes the high capacity as well (13+1).

If you don't mind me jumping in here, I can make some further recommendations for weapons and security. My wife recently took a sales position that has her traveling to some rather unsavory locations. She knew that I have a concealed carry permit and wanted to know how to obtain one. She also wanted a weapon that was easy for her to use.
The CCP is rather easy to apply for, and as long as you don't have a felony record, you'll have it in your hands within two to three weeks.
As far as weapon selection goes, you'll want something that has significant knock down power without knocking you down. Conceal-ability, weight, round capacity and over all fit are all applicable too. If you need help with your selection, I can help. Additionally, I was a small arms instructor with the Navy a few years back, and "maintain proficiency" as often as possible.

You get a few of your friends that hang about and the next time he pulls up invite him to the back door. Show him that pretty smile you have and then we he comes close scream at the top of your lungs. On cue, your friends will come running to beat the living crap out this piece of human debris in the name of self defense.

Then invite him to call on you anytime the urge sets in. If you can set up an appointment with him give Diva, Hutch and myself a call. Eye-wink

Told ya. Sorry the devil made me type that. I'm sorry that I was right. Are the people that were practicing extortion with the live music still bothering you?

This guy is nuttier than peanut butter.

Autrey's has a 357 special without a hammer fits easily into a purse or pocket. When you lock up at night I would have it in my pocket.

Does your restaurant have security cameras, especially by the back door? If that is how you leave.

The grave yards are filled with people who got restraining orders, but it is a good start.

Also, I don't know if this is practical for you or not, but here is one idea that has worked in the past:

Offer half-off meals for cops in uniform. Most smart cops will never drink alcohol in uniform on or off the job, so you don't have to worry about getting stuck with a huge bar bill. Also offer free coffee, they don't get long meal breaks, and depending on how the night is going they don't get a meal break at all. But even if they stopped in for a fresh cup of coffee that would help your situation. Your place would be known as a cop hangout, which will make the bad guys nervous, and the rest of us good people feel safe. Win, Win.

If that doesn't bring cops streaming in, break down and hire an off duty cop. Not all of the time, be consistently inconsistent. Keep this screwball on his toes. Change your routine as much as you can.
Autrey's also has tasers for sale.

Do you know this jokers name and where is lives? There are many creative ways to mess with bad people. Since most of my best ideas for revenge are sort of a on a fine line of being just inside/outside the law I share them with you in person.

No such thing as 357 Special. 357 comes in Mag or SIG. Sig Sauer P239 in 357 sig is a great choice. I think you were refering to .38 Special.

All this chatter about "guns" must hype up a bunch!

People taught correctly know that no gun should be drawn unless it is actually used on the problem "immediately."

To use a gun for threats is suicide about half the time.

It ain't fun to shoot somebody. It ain't fun to get shot!

The above is the kind of conversation that indicates simple-mindedness!

Carry a killer gun!
Security cameras! He won't even know they are there. Nor care.

Exactly what does he do or say to warrant a restraining order?

As to feeding cops for free and free coffee, I think that is also illegal. Anyway all the lovers on here say they don't do that anyway.
Also, apparently you can't trust a cop with a 1/2 off bar bill--according to your statement.

Cops streaming in! From where?

Then, if all legal means fail, let me help you personally, if you know what I mean, with illegal means!

Anyway she works in a restaurant, not a bar! And trades stuff for help.
Or so I read!

Are you the female impersonator or is that bonker$? Which of your personalities are the males and and which ones are the females? Just curious for no apparent reason.

First of all you don't want the bad guys to know you have security cameras that is why they are hidden. It defeats the purpose if they know they are there.

Second of all many buisnesses(smart buisnesses, and buisness owners) give cops discounts if they are in uniform. Especially in these tough economic times the criminals have become more desparate and aggressive. Again cops don't drink in uniform.

The first thing and the safest thing she can do to harass this stalker jerkoff is hire an off duty cop. Make sure the jerkoff knows why the cop is there. If she gets restraining order and talks to the police they will give her many more safety tips to follow.

When someone is harassing me I usually fight back, and I don't fight fair. But that is just me. If someone is making your life miserable there are ways to return the favor. Again that is just my way of handling a situation. I let the cops do their part and do the best they can first. I have found that hiring and off duty cop so far has worked in persuading the offenders to leave me alone.

Or we could do what you and all of your personalities do $ and act crazy even the criminals leave you alone I bet.
