Wikipedia Mistake

I need some old timers input here. Wikipedia states that PTC's 1st traffic light within the city limits was at 54/74 intersection in 1979.

But when I first came here in early 1990, the only traffic light was 54 and Northlake (where Bank of America is now). I am sure it was just a 4 way stop sign at 54/74 in 1990. Am I remembering it wrong? Had there been a traffic light there and it reverted back to stop sign?

Or is the wiki entry wrong?

I moved here in 1989, and there were three traffic lights at that time in Peachtree City. Hwy 54 & Hwy 74, Hwy 54 & Northlake and the one at Hwy 54 & Peachtree Pkwy. Back then Hwy 54 was two lane from Newnan to Jonesboro. The only fast food resturants were McDonalds, Hardee's (Where Chick-fil-a is on 54) and Del Taco (where Dairy Queen is). The only grocery stores where A & T Market in Aberdeen shopping center (near Partners Pizza) and Big Star (Crossing East where Kroger "Central" is now) and Kroger Crosstown had just opened. My how things have changed
