A Fayetteville man was charged Thursday (today) with five counts of aggravated child molestation and five counts of child molestation, police said.

Juan Miguel Arreola, 31, of Walker Avenue is accused of having sexual intercourse five different times at his Fayetteville residence with the victim, who was 13 years old at the time of the incidents, police said.

“The victim knew the suspect because he was the father of her best friend,” said Fayetteville police spokesperson Steve Crawshaw.

The case first began in Clayton County because Arreola formerly lived there and Clayton detectives forwarded information to Fayetteville police after learning some of the incidents took place at Arreola’s home, police said.

The incidents took place between February 2006 and July 2007, police said.
