This is the obituary for my Mom, who bless her heart, taught me better than I act most of the time. This is the mother I talked about in my blog post "Red and Yellow, Black and White" .

My picture is of Mom playing with my grandson. That's Dad in the background looking wistful (somehow she managed to wrest the baby away from him). She was an awesome Great-grandmother (or G-G as she preferred to be called), Grandmother (Mamaw), and Mom. She is very much missed by a lot of folks.

Make a difference for your grandchildren - recycle!

So sorry to hear about your loss. I will pray for you as you deal with this sorrow. Try to remember the happy and good times.

Along the line of family memories - I sometimes get so very upset with people who complain at holidays about having to spend time at some family function - little do they know, they will one day miss those times and memories. I've been without my parents for 30 some years, oh how I wish I 'had' to go to their house for dinner . . .everyone should enjoy their family while they can because too soon they are gone.

Treasure those memories and pass them on. My prayers.

I am very sorry. I can only imagine losing a parent. It is coming. The seasons continue to change ......

The very best to your family.
