Two out-of-towners picked a poor time to try and boost a golf cart in Peachtree City last Tuesday afternoon.

They happened to be getting away just as the cart owner exited the Crosstown Kroger store and neared the cart, police said. The suspects and the golf cart were found minutes later on the cart path near Oak Grove elementary school off Crosstown, said Capt. Michael Claman.

The suspects did not resist arrest and were apparently out for a joyride, Claman said.

Arrested were Aaron Cole Taylor, 19, of Marsha Way, Sharpsburg and Terrell Wayne Sikes Jr., 21, of Rocky Mount Road, Senoia. Both were charged with theft by taking (motor vehicle), police said.

Someone had to drop them off? A joy ride that ended up here taking someones golf cart for a "joy ride". Get ready folks this is just the beginning. Kids, teenagers, adults in this case lets go get a cart and take a ride. Because of the overdevelopment here we are now a target. Say what you will we are.

Effective law enforcement is not just the speed of the apprehension but also the severity of the pistol whipping. Take for example the Red Room. If Southside neanderthals associated Fayette County with a wood shampoo they wouldn't come here any more.

Well, Sharpsburg and Senoia are out of town. It was a good bust. Sounds like you wished they'd gotten away or something.
