Eternal vigilance

I was coming home both literally and figuratively from a trip "over the river and through the woods from grandmother's house" late on Christmas night.

There was hardly a soul on the road.

It was oddly comforting as I neared the Peachtree City limits to hear my radar detector shriek in alarm.

Out there in the dark, oblivious to the holiday and the cold, a single solitary Tyrone police officer used his trusty radar gun to test my driving speed for the potential revenue benefit of his masters on the town council.

Thankfully (for me anyway) I was judged unworthy of further attention.

The price of balanced city budgets in Tyrone is eternal vigilance.

I was turning left about 10pm at off 74 onto Carriage Oaks, turing turward Chaps. I could not believe my Eyes! A person on a golf cart came down the hill 90 to nothing with no lights on and straight into traffic with us on 74 having the green light and the golf cart having a RED LIGHT! They barrelled through, I blew my horn, which was the only thing that kept the car to my right from hitting them head on! He swerved and almost wrecked trying not to hit those @@wwwww! When is someone going to wake up and make it against the law to cross 74 on a golf car in traffic? A lot of people almost got killed because of an idiot golf cart driver!

only the dumb ones get killed.....let's not question the theory of evolution....let it run it's course....

Crossing 74 in a golf cart is illegal in PTC. Let your finest know that they could come up with their own law and make a killing(no pun intended) on the idiots who break the ordinance. Win win for everyone.
