GINZA STEAK HOUSE

Git Real's picture

Hey all! Does anybody know if the Ginza is re-opened? I know it was being remodeled and I thought someone said it would be a Japanese place again.

Thanks.

Can't we all stay away from such for just a little while?

The New Japanese restaurant has been in the paper several times and it will cost you about 25-30 dollars ahead to eat there! OK.
Nothing special: fry up some rice with scrambled eggs and chopped vegetables; cook a small portion of sliced steak, a few scallops, and several shrimp---make a lot of racket with a knife and fling it at people to eat!

Serve hot stained water to drink. Congratulate the chef who can't do anything else at all!

However, the ambiance is awesome!

There, enough for a month about food!

I enjoy getting the info on restaurants. This is not just a forum for political talk....and for my 2 cents, the new japanese place at Braelinn is good but Not as good as She's on 54.

Anyone been to Magellans??

I'll bet you are a good cook!

How does one "enjoy" getting the info?

2 cents is what it is worth! Just a conversation piece.

Nitpickers: I actually am a good cook and make homemade meals 4-5 nights a week. This is why I wish to hear opinions on local restaurants since I want use my dining dollars for a quality meal. The Fayette County restaurant scene changes so much with closures, new management, etc.

There is plenty of room for all kinds of commentary on this site. It is a local blog site and some of us are interested in events, store commentary, restaurant reviews and general info.

I think you are thinking of Korean or Chinese food. Definitely dog and cat on the menu there. No so much in Japan. At least in my experience.

Are you by chance related to Bonker$? Puzzled

It seems that you call everyone with which you disagree as all being one person---so as not to make it appear that more than one person disagrees with you!

Well. I have news for you, there are many who disagree with not only you, but many others on here!

Some of us think instead of live in the past.

By the way Nixon and Reagan, and their faults and fallacies, are dead.
They and their ilk just about did us in as a country by their negligence of people and allowance of white collar thievery to "trickle down."

Then, "along came Bush," and all was compounded to disaster!

Yes, many of us want a "change."

I thought my hero McCain would make those changes smoothly, but I guess it will have to be done the hard way.

Join the parade and watch how things improve!

It is open. I was there the weekend after Thanksgiving. It's no longer called Ginza though. I forget what it's called now.

The new name is Kame Yama (which means turtle or tortoise mountain).
The folks running it were affiliated with Chin Chin.
