PINK FLOYD music

Saw an ad where the FOX theater will have a light show accompanying Pink Floyd music on 1/10.

Just the music. not the band.

I don't even know who they are, other than the lead dude is supposed to be some kind of musical genius, but I saw where a few here liked them.

I am a 50s music liker.
Too busy working for the hippie and metal stuff.

We actually have something in common here.... I like all that old music too. I prefer the 40's: Glen Miller, Gene Krupa, Arty Shaw, Bennie Goodman (the reason I played clarinet in school), and of course Rosemary Clooney. 50's music: I like the classics - Big Bopper, Ricky Nelson, Doris Day, and Peggy Lee gives my husband 'fever'.

I like the hippie stuff too, but my musical taste is very eclectic and diverse. There's no better dancing than to swing music!

It don't mean a thing if it ain't go that swing....du wop du wop du...

No No No. I do not sing well at all - my gift is with the paintbrush and pencil. I wasn't even that great at playing clarinet. I can dance, though!

IN THE MOOD - GLEN MILLER ...... my favorite! and Brown Jug.

After everyone left yesterday - we put on our Du wop cd's and sang along with the Du wop group stars of the 50's (My husband has a great 'bass' voice!) The younger crowd in our family just wouldn't understand!

I love Doo wop music! One of my nephews (Cobb Co.) sings in a Doo wop group. They sing for fun, parties, and other functions. For his wife's birthday he took her to one of the PBS concerts. Front row seats, she was thrilled. They promised to take me next time. Smiling
