Found: "Jake" the Beagle

A terrific dog wandered onto our property today. He is a beagle (or a beagle mix) and he has a collar. His name tag indicates that his name is "Jake." There is a phone number.

I called and reached his former owner who now lives in D.C. Apparently, Jake was adopted a year-and-a-half ago by someone in this area. The man did not know who finally took Jake, but he did say that a lady named Grace, who lives down along Hwy 54, was instrumental in finding him a new home.

Jake is a great dog, who has spent the afternoon running around the yard with my grandkids.

Anybody missing a Jake?

The dog might have a microchip. A vet office or animal control will scan him for you.
