GM and Chrysler to chapter?

However Ford, no! They just want a line of credit! There is a difference? Matter of government control I suppose.

One could ask why the administration doesn't want GM and Chrysler to pay their bills and then to form a new company, as Delta did, but not Ford!
Could it be that the banks GM and Chrysler owe aren't as favored as the Ford banks? (huh-oh, means more will be needed by the banks).

Looks as if the next bailout will have to be the suppliers of the auto companies who won't get paid by the bankrupt companies!
Can't drive a Corvette or a 300 without a steering wheel!

Bush would prefer to do nothing and get rid of union once and for all but he does not want the demise of our large auto industry on his watch.

I'm sorry, lack of watch. Even Brain Cheney didn't see it coming--just the oil fiasco!

If our government (us) loaned a bank enough money to loan to the three auto companies instead of (us) the government loaning it (giving it) directly on a "contract?"

Here is what I heard about that: From one bank---"are you kidding me? Loan those dudes that kind of money with no sales or credit for buying their cars in sight?

Citibunch said: I know you (us) gave us 150,000,000 dollars but if we were to loan it to GM, and Chrysler and Ford, we would very likely lose it! Anyway everyone knows that the 15-25 billion they got or will get or whatever, is not nearly enough!
It might take a trillion ($1,000,000,000,000). And then that would be too much to ever pay back--even on easy interest free terms not starting until 2050.)

Wellscargo said: "we got enough problems with Watchcoven on our hands what with the California debacle we bought of toxic loans. Think we want more?" We just want to use the tax loan to pay our hep and stockholders.

Anyway, now we really know what the republicans and conserves consider important in a pinch: Banks and money handlers!
To heck with construction and manufacturing, and certainly the little guys---too many of em. It will "dribble" to them.
