Man arrested for selling drugsThu, 12/18/2008 - 4:58pm

An Atlanta man was arrested Wednesday evening for trying to sell heroin and cocaine to undercover officers, sheriff's deputies said. Horato Philmore, 41, tried to sell three grams of heroin and 3.7 grams of cocaine for $1,000, according to agents with the Fayette County Sheriff's Office Tactical Narcotics Team. The incident occurred at 8:45 p.m. at a convenience store on Ga. Highway 138 in north Fayette County. Philmore was arrested without incident. No further arrests are expected. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Tactical Narcotics Team is a multi-agency unit, under the command of the Sheriff of Fayette County, consisting of members of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Tyrone Police Department, and the Fayetteville Police Department. Illegal drug activity is a continuing issue, not only in Fayette County but surrounding jurisdictions as well, officials said. The Sheriff’s Tactical Narcotics Team is dedicating to reducing and eliminating the presence of illegal drug in Fayette County.
