Two residential burglaries in Fayetteville in the past two days resulted in the theft of electronics at a Knights Way apartment and household items at an unoccupied residence on Colonial Court.

The resident of the apartment left at 7 a.m. Tuesday followed by his roommate at 7:30 a.m. The man returned at 6:15 p.m. to find the door kicked in, said Fayetteville Police spokesman Steve Crawshaw.

Items reported stolen included a laptop computer, an Xbox, iPod, games and jewelry, Crawshaw said.

The Colonial Court burglary occurred Wednesday at approximately 3 p.m. A neighbor reported seeing several white males in their mid-teens and wearing dark clothing exiting an unoccupied residence, perhaps a model home, Crawshaw said.

The teens were carrying items from the home and loading them into a white van, Crawshaw said. The items included pictures, clocks and candle holders, said Crawshaw.

Nice, thank goodness at least someone had the common sense to pay attention to what was going on around them, and call the police when suspicous people were observed. The problem is no one was apprehended apparently. Am i to believe that only one other person was home at the apartment complex when this went down in broad daylight.. Get involved in your community start a neighborhood watch. Obtain firearms training and obtain a firearms permit, and love thy neighbor...GOD BLESS
