A 14-year-old Fayetteville male was charged over the weekend after pulling a knife on his mother, while threatening that he would cut her.

The male was charged with aggravated assault and making terroristic threats, according to Fayetteville Police spokesman Glenn Askew.

The Dec. 6 incident occurred at their Cobblestone Apartments residence when the two became involved in an argument, Askew said.

At one point the boy produced a knife and told his mother he would cut her, Askew said. The woman subsequently called police, Askew said.

Officers arrived and assessed the complaint, then took the 14-year-old into custody, Askew said.

Ummmm, hello,......14 is not too old to spank.

This kid needed a real parent with half of a clue. A parent who understood the true purpose for belts and wooden spoons.

If you love your kid you will discipline them. Teach them right from wrong so they don't end up in juvie. Jeeeez if you teach them right from wrong early on, by the time they are 6 all you have to do is give them the "look". My mother had and still has a "look" that could stop a train and make it back up for 10 miles.

You new wave knucklehead parents are sure making this "we think it's trendy to forget birthcontrol and breed like rabbits" thing a whole lot harder than what it has to be.

To kick this kid's {{{EDITED}}} from one side of that apartment and up the other.

I've got an aunt who went through the same thing with her son. Not only did he threaten his mother but he call our grandmother the 'B' word. My uncle got wind of that and drove up to my aunt's house, called him out and beat the holy shooey out of poor little Eric leaving him bleeding at the face pretty good with a stern warning that "He'd be back" if any other threats took place.

Funny thing..... There was never another issue with Eric again and I hear he's turned into being a pretty good example for his kids. Just makes you wonder if maybe this punk just needs a good butt whoopin' from a few good men.

Remember the scene in the movie Second Hand Lions where the old uncle takes on the 3 thugs in the café? Smiling

Makes you wonder sometimes if a lesson should be taught rather than merely processing someone through the court system? Puzzled

Well.... Now I suppose I've offended Maple Leaf with that concept. Ask yourself this guys; Is it just me or does Maple Leaf remind anyone else of Neil in the movie "The Santa Clause"? Eye-wink
