Two new misused words for the list.

TonyF's picture

Along with the "your for you're" and "to for too", not to mention all the misspellings whether from ignorance or intentional use (possibly to disguise inherrant stupidity), now I'm seeing "THEN for THAN" and "QUITE" when the word is obviously meant to be "QUIET", from bloggers whom I assumed to be of above average intelligence. Why do we, who profess to be so danged smart, show our lack of knowledge on every stinking blog we write (or is it "right")?

Turn the spellcheck off and get a dictionary, or an education.

p.s., there is a intentionel mistake in this post, extra points if you spot it.

I think "intentionel" was intentional.

And I think inherrant was the unintentional mistake for inherent, not to mention the punctuation.

Smiling I know, it's grammar.

Anyone who needs a lesson in grammar should spend a week with my mother! If only I had a dime for every time I heard "I don't know...CAN you?" or "Ain't is not a word." or "You don't do it good. You do it well.". Thank God for grammatically correct mothers.

Sorry to hear that. I don't know what I'd do without my mom.
