Emoting for history

Well it has started:
Those who wish to put into print for history why the Bush Administration and his followers are not responsible for the eight years in which we went into an unending war and ended up in a depression.
For my thinking, it is simple what caused it:

#1 Oil and Daddy's embarrassment.

#2 Loose bank and non-bank enforcement of loans.
Greedy bankers and agents.
Congress's ability to overlook Fannie and Freddy's desecration's--no one else even cared.
Then the capper-offer, those lovely boxed and wrapped in ribbon toxics! Grabbed by them what wanted high interest for nothing.

Just because a few congressmen from both parties thought it was a good idea for the poor (and the rich) is a weak excuse--not the cause.

The failure of leadership of the conservative politicians, in many cases, for the last eight years is due primarily that they tried to let idealistic "values" and "trickle down" sharing rule the day. That only works in such things as allowing each individual the constitutional rights they have---not for solving problems that crop up every day!
These right wingers think that using pragmatism to resolve problems as they occur only leads to chaos. Only thing is, that attitude doesn't solve most of today's problems.
An idealist attempts to convert everyone to the same philosophy of life, whereas, a pragmatist lives and lets live!

A good pragmatist also doesn't think that allowing financial networks to manipulate our welfare is a good idea due to the obvious greed that abounds. It works for awhile for many, but not all, and then has to be bailed out from total failure.

How many times do we have to start over, cheapening our value, before we realize that some problems can be solved by idealism and most by pragmatism.
I voted for John McCain, but I'm going to vote against Saxby Chambliss twice since he is a worthless Senator who to this day espouses the same philosophy that put it where we are. He doesn't trust the average American to have any power or judgement. Ideals will always get us through, he thinks! They didn't, they won't.
