If the teacher said what was on the film (they can be fixed) then some discipline is absolutely necessary.
The story also mentions that the parents have approved of keeping the teacher.
Of course that will have to be "strike one"

I figure that the family, including the soldier, was also against the war is the reason they forgave.
Are you angry due to what she said to a kid, or that she was right and shouldn't have said it out loud?

No Bonkers, the teacher was lying and should be fired for berating a white child of such a young, innocent age regardless of how the parents feel. If anyone can't see how hateful and racist the act was, well then I feel sorry for you.
