Sheriff-Elect Hannah's spouse gets a promotion to Captain???- thought county was under hiring/promotion freeze????

Randall is still Sheriff. If he promoted her, so be it. I trust his judgment.

I needed her help 2 yrs ago and she was very sincere, professional, and hard working. She deserves to be treated fairly. I said this during the election and I'll say it again. Captain Hannah should be treated no better, and absolutely, positively, should not be treated any WORSE than any other officer. My fear is that being "by the book" like Wayne is known to be he will go over-board and treat her badly to make a point that he doesn't play favorites.

I hope this rumor is true, she deserves the title of Captain.

Sadly I'm in the sweat shop until 4pm. This would be a perfect day for adult beverages in the backyard. If we don't talk before the holiday, Happy Thanksgiving and have a safe trip. For the second time in 18yrs I'm off on T-day.

If I remember correctly this lady is a one-man show, talking to schools and desk work!

The rank of Captain signifies supervision of others from experience!

Just to pay someone more due to tenure or likability is incorrect!
If they want to be Chief, then get out into the cars and work!

Neither you or I work at the SO so we don't know what any of them really does all day. She does deserve to be treated fairly, thats all I'm saying.

So if you know nothing why are you supporting the old boy's network instead of being interested in whether the promotion is NEEDED!

All sheriffs' generally retire very rich on a middle income salary. There are reasons for this!

Fairness to everyone is not one of them!

Bonker$ I have actually needed the help of our Sheriff's dept. They are very effective at crime prevention. You are trying to bad mouth somebody you don't know. Why? I don't know any cop who is rich unless they get lucky in the market or lotto.

Maybe Bonker$ is also Rosebud. If you do a search on Rosebud, his/her posts have always been negative statements about Hannah's wife.
