Three girls who took part in a late-night golf cart joyride in Peachtree City Nov. 7 are now facing charges for stealing the golf cart, police said. Allison Patricia Gair, 17, and April Esposito, along with a juvenile are being charged with theft by taking, police said. Gair is also being charged with one count of reckless driving, police said. The charges stem from the teens taking the golf cart without the owner’s knowledge or permission, police said. The girls previously had been spending the night at a friend’s home, police said. Esposito was seriously injured when she fell off the cart after after climbing onto the front bumper while it was still moving, police said. Esposito was initially reported in critical condition and was flown to Grady Hospital in Atlanta for treatment. Gair turned herself in this morning while Esposito was expected to turn herself in by tomorrow, police said. login to post comments |
