Same Ole Washington Insiders

Git Real's picture

So much for Change. Our president elect is filling his round table with the same ole recycled Washington insider hacks that helped put us in the predicaments we're in now. Nothing new with his selections and no change. Just corrupt Washington as usual. Oh well.....

My avatar is sooooo appropriate with Harry Reid hoisting the staff.

the Dow closed today at 7552.29 a 444.99 drop today. This wipes out 11 years of growth. My 401K, well what can I say. Dagnamit, somebody better do something and soon.

It doesn't matter who you vote for, the game is rigged, the deck is stacked, the CFR owns them all!

I'll take any of those "Washington insiders" that Obama is tapping for his administration, over Bush and his cronies who have run our country into the ground for the past 8 years.

I saw this video today and it literally made me ill watching the reaction to Bush, from the international, G20 leaders.

Our country can be better than this, and we will repair the damage that the Bush years have caused:

BUSH AND G20

watching the reaction to Bush, from the international, G20 leaders.

Personally, I don't give a rat's arse what the international community thinks about Bush or our country. They have for years spat in our faces in spite of the overwhelming contributions we have made in the international society. Yeah.. we haven't been perfect but we've been tremendously gracious overall to our enemies and those who have been in need. From here on out, I wouldn't give them the sweat off my {{{Edited}}} if their guts were on fire.

Our country can be better than this,

Yup... you are right. And we're loading our leadership up from top to bottom with the same freaking clowns that have helped put us in the mess we're in now. Like I said.... So much for 'Change'. The only thing that changes is the letter behind the name. Same ole Washington insiders... Same old Wall Steet corporate pocket liners.... etc., etc. Our country can do better than this. So why aren't we? The greatest country on this earth and this is the best we can do????

and we will repair the damage that the Bush years have caused:

Sorry friend... Remove those Blue State Colored Glasses you're wearing and realize that giant sucking sound you're hearing is the quality of life that we have enjoyed to this point being drained from our lives courtesy of our once, somewhat ethical gumament. The problems we face today run much deeper that the Bush administration policies of the last 8 years. Denying that and not looking at the big picture is pure ignorance to be mild. Nothing is going to change except for the assault on the productive and hardworking citizens of this country. Anyways.... I waste my breath and time responding....

But other than that... It's good to see you Main. Happy Thanksgiving. There is still much to be thankful for.

Yes, the problems our nation faces has come from years of failed policies under both Repub and Dem administrations. We currently have 20th century financial regulations in place for 21st century financial institutions and our regulatory system did not keep pace with the new forms of investments that were occurring like subprime mortgages, bundled investments, derivatives, etc. We need increased oversight and an updated regulatory system and smart people to do it and I trust Obama and his new administration, including those Wash. insiders, to have the foresight to make the needed regulatory changes that will help prevent another meltdown in the future. I blame both parties for getting us into this mess but I voted for the party that I trust more to get us out of it.

Good to see you posting on here again. We've missed you!

Serious issues I agree. Subprime mortgages should have never been allowed. But, what do you expect from a sub-prime gumament that manipulates the system in an effort to effect social engineering.

We need increased oversight and an updated regulatory system and smart people to do it

Oversight is one thing Main... But there are folks in power and coming into power that want far more than mere oversight. The so-called oversight that we will experience should really be named 'strangulation'.

You know... when watching the movie John Adams several months back I really became unnerved and repulsed when they stripped that Tory and hot tarred and feathered his sorry carcass. After seeing what these clowns are now doing with over trillion dollars I'm kind of warming up to the concept of tarring and feathering. 80% of the Tory leadership we have and 100% of the special interest groups and lobbyists along with probably 30% of our business leaders need to be tarred and feathered and run out this country. My definition of a Tory?.... Nearly all members of Congress, the Senate, our president and it appears.... even our president elect. Oh well..... we definetely have the gumament we deserve. We fall for the crap that spews from their mouths. Me? Yeah... guilty of it too. Not anymore though.

Drove by Cattleman's yesterday; down the unrecognizable Agnew exit off of I-40. I thought about you and your family; the gitlets; your folks. I hope your mom is hanging in there. A week ago I would have launched into this subject. A week ago I would have had opinions that I felt were important. Now, I'm just trying to figure out why such good people among us suffer such great hardship. I truly hope we get the opportunity to meet while we still share good health.

What I know with certainty is that the only effect you or I or main will have on the above subject matter will be our 2010 votes. Right now, I could use some windshield whipers for my eyes, and as many prayers for wulfman and his family as we all can muster.

Cheers! Luv ya man.

I agree, often things like political opinions and convictions become unimportant in the grand scope of things.

My mother gave me the news this week that, in order to keep her job, she's been ordered to transfer to Dayton, OH. leaving my dad behind to TRY and sell their house. Dad was supposed to retire in January, but now will not be able to do so and therefore may have to stay behind for longer than they would like. I can't imagine not having my mother 10 miles away from me - my best friend. My dad will be lost without her, as will my children who adore their 'Mimi'. But, whether in Hampton, GA or in Dayton, OH , I and my family will still have her. I am grateful.

After hearing sad news from those on this site and from personal friends, I am so grateful that my family is healthy.

No matter what the GDP does in the coming quarters, however far the DOW drops, regardless of what the next administration does for our nation...we must never loose sight of what really matters. If need be, I would eat dog food and be grateful for it, provided I could share it with the ones I love.

Best wishes to all of you.

Funny you mention the Cattleman's. I'll be dining there tomorrow night providing Delta delivers us on time. And Agnew.... Wow! It is becoming unrecognizable these days. I can' wait until we can drive across I-40 thru OKC with bouncing and clunking over those 1950's overpasses.

I'm just trying to figure out why such good people among us suffer such great hardship

Me too. Big time. And the suffering leaves none of us untouched.

And speaking of Wulfman.... Somehow I think the Wulf is going to be just fine either way his health turns. Our prayers definetly need directed towards his family. What a testimony to his life in the words of his son-in-law. Wow again! Cancer really sucks....

Cheers and Happy Thanksgiving. Hmmmmm.... am I allowed to mention Thanksgiving these days?????

When do you hit OKC?

I'm in OKC around 12 noon and ATL around 4 pm.

Whew... We should be scooting through security around four. We leave out around 6:35. With an arrival time and an appetite that creates the perfect storm for chomping down on a medium rare rib-eye at one of my favorite haunts. Safe travels to ya.

And tomorrow night... It's coyote killin' time. Got my new Johnny Stewart digital / wireless / remote predator call and I'm gonna reach out touch some of those barn cat killers with my old Marlin lever action 30/30 cowboy rifle. It's kind of like huntin' terrorists. Cool The cats are going to love me. Since I was last there in September those Islamo Fascist Coyotes have eaten 5 cats and kittens. Got 4 remaining kittens and I've got to at least protect them while the Gitlets are their to love on them. It's a cruel world out there.....

Coyotes and Terrorists... Sadly.... always in the need of killin'.
