Have you tried Comcast's Home Phone Service?

We recently received an advertisement from Comcast for their home phone service. If any of you out there have Comcast phone service and are happy with it, I would like to hear from you. And if you are not happy with it I would like to hear from you. We are paying entirely too much for phone service right now and need to scale back.

I have subscribed to Comcast for several years and found the service to be good. Signal is clear, good reliability and the best is free long distance.

The only drawback is that if you have a power failure, you need a battery backup to maintain service.

Do a google search. Use the terms magic and jack.

Happy searching......

Had it now for about 6 months. So far, so good. Did the entire internet, phone and cable deal. Couldn't beat the price. Beats the costs we were paying for AT&T's phone service.

We switched over to Comcast a couple of months ago. We have not had any major issues. Only problem is when a construction crew took out a line. I took a while to get service restored. The price was the main reason to switch. Much less expensive than the others.

I understand that AT&T has a very basic home phone rate. Yes, that's right basic with no bells or whistles. We bundled our services with AT&T at a good rate with internet, DSL, and cell.
In the very near future Fayette Co citizens will be able to get Uverse Television. Uverse is digital television that operates over your home phone line (yay, no more dish stuck on the side of your house)that will also support HD and high speed DSL. I know they have been working in the area to "go green" in Fayette Co soon. I also heard these rates will be cheaper than Comcast. It never hurts to compare prices. Just a thought...

We have had Vonage for a few years now and have been very pleased. Occasionally the phone will act up a bit, but then we just reset our router and it's usually fine. A couple times Comcast messed with our phone service (a less than ethical attempt to get us to switch to their service), but that is now fixed. I wish we had a competitor for cable service....

I too have the Comcast bundle and for the most part am satisfied with the service if not the price. The only downfall is when a wind storm takes out Comcast, you lose everything. Several times I have had no TV, internet or phone service.
If you have a cell phone you will be ok.
Compared to european prices we pay almost double their rates. How come?
Must be the monopoly position Comcast has.

No, I haven't tried Comcast's yet. I would recommend, MJ....

From a pricing perspective, there's no comparison.
