Newnan Police looking for bank robber

Newnan Police are searching for a man that robbed Neighborhood Community Bank Monday in a mid-day heist.

Deputy Chief Rodney Riggs said the man described as a black male, 5’9”-5’10” and weighing 160-180 pounds entered the bank at 60 Salibe Avenue at approximately 11:39 a.m.

The man fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, Riggs said. Thought to be in his early to mid 20s, the man was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a baseball cap, said Riggs.

Riggs said the man was last seen headed north on Greenville Street. No one was injured during the robbery, Riggs added.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact Newnan Police at (770) 254-2355.
