Bank of North Georgia, which has four branches in Fayette County, has been named one of the top places to work in Georgia by Georgia Trend magazine.

This is the second year in a row the bank has been named to the list. Last year the bank merged with Peachtree National Bank of Peachtree City, a Synovus company, which previously operated all four branches in Fayette. Bank of North Georgia is based in Alpharetta.

The bank was one of 15 winners of the honor and among more than 400 businesses nominated by their employees using the magazine’s website.

The winners were selected by Georgia Trend’s editorial staff.

“We simply asked employees to tell us what makes their company the best,” said Georgia Trend Editor Susan Percy. “And they did. We didn’t just count the number of nominations, we evaluated what each company’s employees had to say about where they work and made our selections accordingly.”

Ask the great ladies that work at the branch at the Braelinn Kroger what a great place it is to work. Peachtree National was bought out by Bank of N. Georgia and as soon as they bought up another bank they announced they were closing the branch at Kroger. The last I heard the bank was "hoping" to find places for those employees to go. As of January 1st they'll be gone.

Do you read/watch the news??? Unprofitable locations of many businesses being closed. There are 4 offices in Fayette County with 2 in PTC. Just because they are making a sound BUSINESS decision doesn't mean it isn't a great place to work.

And no, I don't work there.
