How could the dawgs have been ranked number one at the beginning of the year?

It's not a science. Bama wasn't even in the top 20 at years beginning. Why was Auburn ranked? What about Tennessee? Why wasn't Ball State ranked? How about Texas Tech? What about GT?

I could go on and on, but you wouldn't understand.

"Its not a science," no, it is BS---my point. And hype for no logical reason! There are very, very few reasons to know who is at the top without a few games played against good competition other than Podunk High School.

I thought they would be so much better.

What do I know, I was just a chemistry major.

Machine wouldn't let me finish at the entry!

No matter how much positive hype is done for the Georgia Bulldawgs, they are not going to be the best football team in the USA until they are!

It is much better to wait 3-4 games and see what kind of team they have before declaring themselves the best, especially in a newspaper.

Dealing in false positivity is deceptive to everyone and in the end is bad for reputations. Coaches should not allow it.

Get a good defense and to go with a fairly good offense that they currently have and then maybe there is a chance.

They will still win more than half of their games--even with a fairly week schedule and they should be proud of that at the end!

You don't want to play Texas, Oklahoma, California Teams, Notre Dame, Michigan State, etc. And, these teams for the most part graduate most of their football and basketball players!

Playin for the good ole boys who tailgate don't win football games. Talent put together right does!
And, also, who is announcing the games (playing favorites) don't win them either.

The AJC putting the Dawgs on the top-left front page when they win or are rated, and then not when they lose, is hypocritical!

I think the Georgia mentality to have nothing but a total winner (same as Braves and Hawks) is the measurement of a real sports fan!
The measurement is poor in Georgia's case. Excellent in the Cubs case!

These are our teams, good or bad.
However the very worst thing we do is to assume they are the best at the first of the year when they almost never are!
That should not be critical.
