A daytime burglary Oct. 28 at a Foxford Run residence in Tyrone resulted in the theft of a large flat screen television and a laptop computer. Police advise residents to be aware of their surroundings and report unusual activity in neighborhoods.

Tyrone Det. Steve Lafferty said burglars entered the premise by kicking in the back door. Once inside, they stole a 42” flat screen television and the laptop, Lafferty said.

Tyrone Police are asking that anyone with information contact the office at (770) 487-4732.

Lafferty recommended that those residents at home during the daytime hours be observant of their homes and those of their neighbors. Residents are asked to report any suspicious activity and, as a precaution, to notify police if an individual or individuals come to a residence asking to do odd jobs for cash such as cleaning gutters. This is one of the methods used to case houses for burglaries, Lafferty said.

My property values just dissapered.. All to often people look to law enforcement to save us in time of need. When all that really needs to happen is people need to come outside, open theyre eyes get to know the neighbors throw your hand up at people passing by and say hello. you would be suprised to know that if criminals riding around casing the scene so to say, realize that people are paying attention to what is going on around them. they would simply move on to the next community on the list. ESPECIALLY IN BROAD DAYLIGHT A 42 INCH T.V.IS HARD TO CONCEAL, GOD BLESS...
