Data doesn't include today's figures; no early voting Monday

54 percent of Fayette voters went early

As of the end of business Thursday, more than half of Fayette County’s eligible voters have done their civic duty, elections officials reported.

The actual percentage was 53.7 percent, as 37,845 voters through Thursday have continued to take advantage of early voting. This week voters could choose from three precincts: one in Peachtree City, Tyrone and Fayetteville.

But there will be no early voting Monday, as mandated per state law. That break is designed to give elections officials a chance to prepare for the traditional election day in which all of Fayette’s 36 precincts will be up and running.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at all precincts.

Through Thursday afternoon, several precincts have led the way in early voters, said Elections Office Brenda Jones.

The Europe precinct in north Fayette County has already voted 1,509 of its 2,500 voters and the Spring Hill precinct in south Fayetteville has voted 1,622 of its 2,800 voters, Jones said.

In Tyrone, the Sandy Creek precinct has seen 1,604 of its 3,400 voters cast ballots already, Jones said.

Elections officials are expected to work through the weekend in preparation for election day Tuesday.

We were told to vote for the Liquor by the Drink you have to live in the City Limits. Our friends that live in the city limits were told that they need to live outside of the city limits but within the county. WEIRD ...so who is hiding what? This seems to be a big scam going on. We need to have a separate vote just for that..and an honest one at that!

The Fayette County Gov't Complex workers -- on October 29 -- were just super supportive, and should be commended for their kind assistance. Yes, there were lines -- but isn't that GREAT?? It is great on the part of voters exercising their right. Kudos to both the workers and the Fayette County Voters!!!

Huge line at the library today but it still only took 45-50 minutes. Never would have believed it. Now I can stay at home Tuesday and wait for the dadgum Geek Squad to show up.

Google, "geek squad horror stories" and you'll see some 83,900 hits come back.

You'd be better off calling your neighbors 12 year old and pay him/her $20.00/hour to fix your computer. If the 12 year old isn't available, borrow the neighbors dog.

Industry wide Geek Squad is rated somewhere just under pond scum for the work they bill you for. That's not to say that they actually do any work at all.

If you insist or are forced to use them, do a FULL SYSTEM BACK UP of your computer BEFORE they get there. There's no telling what you'll lose or what they will steal.

A quality tech can make good money cleaning up after them.

I get to charge double when I have to fix what they fixed.

And I can do it with a clear conscious.

They're still trying to fix my TV under warranty after over a month.

I understand your frustrations and not knowing who is working with your computer is a great concern. I personally service each customer and tell them what I am doing as I go along. Most of my customers enjoy the education while watching me work. It is very seldom I would need to take your system for repair. Give me a call and I will be glad to help you out. My rates are not as high as others and I usually respond the same day for by the next at the worst case. I have plenty of local Peachtree City references to give you piece of mind. Call Lance at PTCGeeKs.Com at (678) 519-3866 and we will go over the issues you have with your system.

It adds a lot of flexibility to those of us with an hour commute to our jobs. Thank you to the poll workers that are making it happen.
