Voter turnout in Fayette County is impressive, with approximately 34 percent of the county’s eligible voters having cast their ballots by 1:20 p.m. Monday.

Elections Officer Brenda Jones said a total of 24,403 ballots, including 2,420 absentee ballots, had been cast so far out of the 75,763 eligible to vote as of Oct. 6. That figure represents approximately 34 percent of the eligible voters, she said.

Jones said 1,573 votes had been cast at polling places Monday from by 1:20 p.m.

Jones said the county could see another 10,000 or more go to the polls by the end of the week.

From 8 - 9:30 am in Peachtree City officials had only 1 of 2 computers on line to verify voters with the States data base. This lead to only 2 or 3 of the voting machines being used.

By 1 PM the lines in PTC were upstairs in the library and approximate wait to vote were 90 - 120 minutes. A lot of people parked, found out the timing and left.

It was very nice to see.

We have so many freedoms we take for granted here. Is this a great country or what?

People in the lines didn't mind, they were determined to vote.

I also think it was good to see.

We live in a great country.

After I voted I did go to the library and get two of the best books I think I have ever read by Sean Hannity.

The titles were "Were Let Freedom Ring" and "Deliver Us From Evil." Yep, I was up all night reading.

Sean is my media hero. You go Sean!

Enough has been said that we know the character of the people running for office

Watch "Let Freedom Ring"

If you listened to all the negative comments made on liberal T.V. it would get to you.

I listen only to Fox News, I find them more fair and balanced.

Even with that I don't put my trust in government, because I know I have a God I know personally that I trust in. No matter what the outcome I will never stop praying for our great country. God is in control.

Listen to "If I Stand"

That is the only way we stand. Great singer, he is in heaven now. He was in a car accident and passed away. I missed him.

Go vote!

I am thankful to be able to voice my opinion in our great country.
