Tyrone Planning Commission members Jan. 26 approved the final site plan for an office building to be located on Lot #13 at the Market Hill development on Dogwood Trail and Ga. Highway 74.
The two-story, 4,000 square foot office building will be situated on a 1.2-acre site. Commissioners unanimously approved the final site plan with conditions that included elimination of three future parking spaces on the building’s entry side, the installation of three poles for site lighting in the rear and denser screening to accompany the landscape plan. Landscape architect Becky Morris represented developer Tyrone-based TCG Holdings at the meeting. Commenting on the site plan, Town Manager Barry Amos said city staff approved the development, adding that additions such as the installation of a fountain added to the project. “The company is obviously spending a fair amount of money of the project,” he said. “They are doing a good job and are putting some nice touches on it.” Plans for the Market Hill development include the construction of 36 buildings. Also at the meeting, newly elected board members Donny James and Kevin Edwards and returning Chair Ginger Blackstone were sworn in by town attorney Brad Sears. Following the ceremony, Blackstone was elected to serve another term as Chair and board member Buddy Hay was elected Co-Chair. login to post comments |
