Fake Economy

Famous coffee selling for $12 a pound
That is $10 coffee for 3/4 of a whole,
Berries from a bush roasted, browned
It is my opinion that is to big a toll.

Some can't borrow a week's payroll
As they did for years and years before
All they had to do was to the bank stroll
There a friendly banker would help galore

Caves no longer would provide shelter
Three BR, three bath, family and den
Provided by those using helter-skelter
Until as it must around came the lawmen.

Credit had no limits dollar or quantity
Just pay the minimum with all pomposity.

I have heard many economists say, "We must do something about the Wall Street meltdown before it affects the "REAL" economy."

This leads to a lot of questions in my opinion. Here's one: If Wall Street isn't the "REAL" economy, why are we bailing it out?

Just a thought. Fishy methinks.

There is no good reason for the bailout as it is being done.

We should have bought the deposits of the banks in trouble, not their worthless stock!

Then sell the deposits to worthy managers who then could begin to loan again.

All the bad paper then could just be burned.
