Cabinets are key to Signature Kitchen and BathWed, 04/02/2008 - 12:05pm

Aside from the bedroom, it could be argued that the rooms where people spend the most amount of time in are the kitchen and the bathroom. Since 2005, Signature Kitchen and Bath in Tyrone has been assisting local residents complete their customer’s dreams for their rooms into reality. The business is owned by Kathy Trahan and Rebecca Gerard, local residents for close to 20 years, who had each spent several years working in various aspects of the cabinet industry. By working closely with the customers as well as certified kitchen and bath designers and a registered interior designer, Signature Kitchen and Bath is able to transform rooms for individuals or for builders and developers who are creating multi-unit projects. People who are interested in changing their kitchens or baths visit Signature Kitchen and Bath’s 2,000 square foot showroom, located at 1520 Senoia Road in Tyrone. Inside there are 15 different kitchen and vanity displays and various design trends from traditional to European to contemporary. Both Trahan and Gerard enjoy the the entire process of meeting with the client and discussing design ideas, working on the designs themselves and selecting the productsand then working with their licensed and insured general contractors to turn the idea into reality. “The concept of the business is simple,” said business manager, Jon Brannen, CKD. “Offer the best complete design service using cabinetry for all rooms, sell quality products and be involved in the community.” Signature Kitchen and Bath offers several lines of cabinets from stock/semi-custom to custom levels. In addition to more traditional wood types offered such as oak, maple and hickory, Signature Kitchen and Bath also offers exotic woods such as teak, zebra and lyptus wood, which is a green eco-friendly hardwood from South America. Lyptus matures in as little as 15 years whereas northern hardwoods require 50 to 100 years before harvest. Along with the various cabinet lines offered, Signature Kitchen and Bath also offers Amerock Cabinet Hardware, Moen faucets and sinks and Granite- Quartz and Corian countertops making the design process a one-stop adventure. Beginning this month, Signature Kitchen and Bath will offer “free glazing,” a 15 percent discount, on their showplace Shiloh and Sequoia lines of cabinets.
