Fayetteville Police responding Oct. 19 to a call about a loud party at a Monte Ridge Way residence ended the night’s festivities after arresting nine people, including five for underage drinking and two of the homes’ occupants for furnishing the alcohol.

Officers responded to the loud party call at approximately 12:35 a.m., said Fayetteville Police spokesperson Glenn Askew, and arrived to find one of the guests urinating outside near a vehicle. Officers approached the residence and could hear loud noises inside, Askew said. Officers then went to the rear of the house and observed a female on the back porch. When the woman saw police she ran into the home yelling in an apparent attempt to alert the others inside, Askew said.

Officers looked through the back door and could see people hurrying about and, as they came to the door, could hear the toilet flushing, Askew said. Officers subsequently found one person hiding under a bed and proceeded checked age identifications, finding five of the occupants under age for drinking.

Arrested for furnishing alcohol to a minor were residents Michael Rosolino, 22, and Jeffrey John Rosolino, 52, who was also charged with having a disorderly house.

Charged with possession of alcohol by a minor were Branden Perry, 20, of Fairburn; Crystal Reed, 18, of Fayetteville; Dixie McNair, 19, of Hampton; 20-year-old Fayetteville resident Oliva Russell and 18-year-old Griffin resident Briana Khamphouvong, said Askew.

Douglas Brekelbaugh, 24, of Fayetteville, was charged with drinking in public and urinating in public, Askew said.

Also charged was 19-year-old Tyrone resident Brian Martin for interfering with police by presenting a fraudulent driver’s license and on a prior traffic warrant, Askew said.

I just want to know why these charges...possession of alcohol by a minor, drinking in public, and furnishing alcohol to minors is done in this case, and not in the McIntosh cheerleaders case. What is the difference...I don't know these people, and I don't know the cheerleaders in question...but what is the difference? Wealthy parents? color difference? police jurisdiction? or just that they were cute cheerleaders...where's the harm there?
