Janet Smola made a false police report

Janet Smola made a false police report that accused my husband of assaulting her. The truth is Mike Smola and she tried to assault my husband, created a false imprisonment by blocking my husband’s car with their car. Then Mike Smola jumped out of his car started running at my husband swinging his fists and screaming all sorts of unmentionable curse words. To protect her husband Janet Smola accused my husband of what she and her husband did. Then the Smola’s got their buddy Chuck Morley at the Fayette Daily News to print her lies. I have had to endure both Janet & Mike Smola’s attacks on me personally for more than a year and I’ve had enough. They tried to ruin my business in Tyrone (Becky’s Boutique & Antiques) when Mike Smola ran for mayor last year by accusing me of buying votes for his opponent Don Rehwaldt. Action TV News was called and Mike Smola gave a televised news report directly across the street from my business. After that numerous people came into my business and starting criticizing in front of customers saying my merchandise was poor and “your shop stinks”. One of the people who came in was Mark Darrow who took some of my discount coupons and later he & Mike Smola turned them in to the Secretary of State as proof of my “vote buying”. Their case was dismissed as being frivolous. I’m tired of these people lies about me and my husband. This harassment is going to stop now. Decent people trying to live their lives and run their business can no longer allow Janet & Mike Smola to continue to be our “elected” representatives. They are guilty of making false police reports, false imprisonment, assault, battery, libel and trying to ruin my business. These people think they can do anything they want to other people and that they are above the law. I’ve got news for them, and for anyone who want to repeat their lies. My lawyer says, no they can’t. Also there is no freedom of speech defense for anyone who prints lies. Under the law, it’s called libel. You can’t hide behind a blog name, your real name is discoverable in a lawsuit. And if you tell a lie in court, it’s called perjury.

I am not surprised to hear any of this. The Smolas' have run afoul of so many people in our community. I honestly do not know 1 person who likes either of them. We got Mike Smola out of Tyrone's government when he lost his bid for Mayor of Tyrone last year, now vote for NICOLE FILE for Fayette Co. Board Of Education and get Janet Smola out of our government too!!

so was someone not actually removing signs illegally?

if you perceive someone as a jerk and so instead you do something illegal in order to return the jerkishness, then understandably someone might be angry with you. you can't say "all we did was illegally take down someone's sign because they are big meanies and it serves them right." it's still illegal.

I understand that a hearing, before a judge, is set for Oct 21st. Why don't we all wait and hear from the judge before we jump to conclusions or make rash accusations.

be careful...someone might just be taking notes...if you want to pedal you stuff that you just happen to be across the street after Smith pulled the signs as you stated...be careful, you would be surprised who else might have been around...in that mall,...OR...ACROSS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF CARRIAGE OAKS IN THAT PARKING LOT!!!! You just may be in for a very embarrassing tell all. You never know....?
