SPLOST

Hey, I'm not seeing anyone talking about the incredible SPLOST marketing blitz being put on by the Fayette County Board of Education. I don't know who is paying for all of this, but I'm betting it's all of us. I think it's interesting that the Fayette Marshals will waste gas and oil to pull up every sign that they think is remotely in the right-of-way, but they've left all of the SPLOST signs untouched. Everyone better wake up and take notice. The same Board of Education that pushed through a last minute millage rate increase is poised to climb further into your wallet. It's not the visiting shoppers that'll pay for this, but you and I. Unfortunately, with high gas prices, we can't logically afford to go elsewhere in an attempt to vote with our dollars. Vote NO on Nov. 4th.

and some are such gluttons they don't care where they get more money, just so long as they get it! I would hate to think I tipped someone over the edge! When some are bad money managers, they just stick their hand out for more.

If you are Republican you only get to vote once.

If you are a democrat you get to vote at as many places/times the ACORN bus will take you. The final count is unknown. Some of them got busted last week so they only got to vote 15-20times. Then the Feds stepped in and ruined all the fun.

I mentioned this last week, the Citizen sorta dropped the ball on this but the other lesser Fayette newspaper had an article on it:

Basically the Fayette County Realtors donated $5000 for pro-SPLOST advertising.

A big wet kiss from developers and their fellow travellers to Smola, Smith and Wright for pre-building an infrastructure for them. Hey, we're only penalizing the kids, right?

Yes, we can all be proud of the Fayette County Board of Realtors for inserting themselves into the political arena. It's not like they are actully besmirching a pristing institution, but now everyone is going to see them for the mercenary, money-grubbing pigs they are. You can't point in any direction in this county without casting an accusing finger over an instance of conflict-of-interest between a realtor/builder and an elected official. Way to Go, FCBR!!!
