A Tyrone man was injured Thursday afternoon in a traffic accident at Ga. Highway 74 and Ga. Highway 54. The man was life-flighted to Atlanta Medical Center with unknown injuries.

Thirty year-old Wesley Slaton sustained significant injuries when his motorcycle was hit by a vehicle driven by Peachtree City resident Bonnie Henderson, according to Peachtree City Police spokesperson Capt. Rosanna Dove.

Slaton was flown to Atlanta Medical Center. Believed to be significant, the extent of his injuries are currently unknown, Dove said early Friday afternoon.

Dove said the accident occurred as Slaton was traveling on Hwy. 54 at the intersection with Hwy. 74. Henderson was in the left turn lane on Hwy. 54 and failed to yield to Slaton’s oncoming motorcycle and pulled out in front of him, said Dove.

Henderson was cited with failure to yield, Dove said.
