Obama tried to sway Iraqis on Bush deal - In private conversations on troop presence, candidate pitched delay

"Mr. Obama's conversations with the Iraqi leaders, confirmed to The Washington Times by his campaign aides, began just two weeks after he clinched the Democratic presidential nomination in June and stirred controversy over the appropriateness of a White House candidate's contacts with foreign governments while the sitting president is conducting a war."

Barack Obama should be tried in Federal court for treason. He's no patriot. He and his wife learned to hate America in the anti-America, anti-white Trinity church under the tutelege of Wright.

Okay. Straight to the point. I said last week that many a *christiany, *patrioticy republican was losing their very soul and sense of right and wrong over this election. How dare the media, more than half of your fellow Americans, and most of the world not see life and politics through your narrow points of view! The whole world must be "in the tank" for Obama, right?

But Usarmy Brat, how in God's name can the same person that was soo indignant and upset about me shortening your name to "brat" ever call a man a "son of a B word?" CLASSLESS, Brat! CLASSLESS and well beneath anything that should be posted here for eternity. So, a guy loses his mom to cancer in her very early 50s only to have you lunatic fringers attack her memory. Brat, I'm glad I don't have to account for your words. But, try this one out. Take your family to your post and explain to them how it is, at any level, appropriate.

Not sure that I know what a "christiany, patrioticy republican" is but I am a non-church Christian, a patriot, and a conservative. And, I believe that BO is about the most arrogant person I have EVER come across. I believe, without a doubt, that he did try to interfere with our foreign policy in this matter. And the SOB name? Believe me, my entire family sees him for what he is. They're smart and don't bury their heads in the sand when they see the MOUNTAIN of evidence against BO. It's pretty pathetic that someone like you would bring up the word "appropriate". The ugly, snide comments that come from your leftist, lunatic "side" are so over the top. Better get off that "high horse" before you fall and break something!

Good golly, somebody's been reading too much Drudge! The Drudge Report, that shining beacon of journalistic spin, is furiously spinning Obama's drop from 11 point lead to "only" 10 points as major news.

Interesting Link detailing McCain's desparate pre-debate "campaign reboot" stunt

McCain's last two stunts (Palin, "suspending" his campaign) didn't work, but he keeps wanting to throw the "Hail Mary".

Poll Update: McCain faces wide gap

"According to the new poll of polls, Obama leads McCain 50-42 percent with 8 percent still undecided. That number incorporates new polls from ABC/Washington Post, Fox News/Opinion Dynamics, Newsweek, Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby, Gallup, and Diageo/Hotline."

They will inevitably tighten as election day approach. Watch the state polls and expect them to tighten too. Ohio and Florida are the important ones for McCain, he can't lose either nor can he win with both. That's why he's still campaigning in Iowa and Penn.

Also, follow the money. Obama is probably going to announce that he raised about $100 million in the last month.

It ain't over yet.

"He speaks as if he is already President..."

Finally, we are seeing some leadership as the dust settles on this horrible global financial crisis that is unfolding before us. Obama is taking the reins and outlining several points in his economic program (on the news today).... McCain hasn't done anything yet except perform that crazy stunt of delaying his campaign - whatever.

Birdie..... do you hate America so much that you would diss the potential new POTUS for attempting to bring the country together during this trying time in our nations history? What a shame.

Is he being elitist and uppity too?

Submitted by jettstream on Tue, 10/14/2008 - 12:44pm.

Obama being elitist and uppity? LOL! That is the funniest thing I heard. The man has no class at all if he does not give good speeches.

Click Obama had enough sleep

This is just the way he is.

I use to live in the Tri-Cities of Tenn. Obama can not fool these people. They laugh at him. I have a friend that was there and she said everyone was laughing at the way he did his speech.

How can a President go around saying I didn't have enough sleep for an excuse for a bad speech.LOL!

A careful reading of USArmyBrat's posting history reveals a mind unencumbered by things such as "facts".

In other words, she's a key Hannity demographic.

It doesn't even take a careful reading of the crap you post here to determine "facts" elude you rather easily.

Like the fake Sarah Palin SAT scores you posted Friday????? Hmmmm....

In other words, you're a key Barry "liar" demographic.

I daresay you're another Hannity demogogue...err, demographic.

Hey, why won't Sarah Palin release her REAL SAT scores? Hmmm?

I don't listen to Hannity. I listen to XM radio. Ever hear of that?? That is pay radio with no commercials. I know fast-food workers like you can't afford it.

I don't know for sure Sniffer. I guess she won't release them to give teenagers like you things to do making up fake ones. You do raise a good question though. Why won't Barry release all his transcripts and grades from Occidental, Columbia, and Harvard Law? How about his SAT and LSAT scores? Oh, those don't concern you as much. Hmmmm??????

By the way, you're admitting they weren't real SAT scores???? Like I said......LIAR.

Anyone with any sense knows that the Iraqi people overwhelmingly want us out of there ASAP, and that they have no intention of signing a SOF agreement. This is a non issue. Calm down, take care of yourself. We all need to do that, there is a big debt to pay off and we need to be in tip-top shape, mentally as well as physically.

because that's how his arguments make him out to be.

first off, you know what's unpatriotic? answer: lying to your country about why we need to go overseas and shoot people. did you know that epidemiologists about a year ago estimated that because of the war in iraq over 600,000 people have died. oops! turns out that iraq had nothing to do with sept. 11th and they didn't have nukes either. turns out also that people in the administration came out and said "yeah, we knew our intelligence was sketchy."

as far as making obama out to be some sort of misguided fool, i'll remind you that while i know nothing about you, i know that he is smarter than you. i know that might be hard for you to hear, being very obviously white yourself...but did you happen to attend columbia university or harvard law school? no? now, i'm not asking for any anecdotal wisdom to the like of "well, some of the smartest people i know are the dumbest" because that's just something you'd be saying to convince yourself that in your brief experience posting inflammatory blogs on your local newspaper's website you had figured out the complete and total character of a candidate for president, have figured out that he actually hates america, and that you know the "real" answers.

don't be ridiculous.

If Obama's such a wonderful guy, how come he has to pay ACORN $800,000 to steal the election?

Like "hope & change". - repeat over and over again until people think that you can actually deliver on it.

Submitted by faux_paws on Fri, 10/10/2008 - 4:14pm.

the hard fact that you are going to deal with is that he is leading in national polls, not votes that have been cast already. what this means to you and me is that acorn has nothing to do with the fact that he is already winning this election.

mccain is certainly scandal free...his "poor judgment" in the keating 5 scandal cost tax payers a pretty penny in its time...not to mention that rick davis (mccain's campaign manager) thought it was wise to represent freddie mac and fannie mae in order to keep regulations off of them...this did not work out to well to the tune of $700,000,000,000... and don't try to spin it, deregulation is a republican ideal...but what this has shown is that deregulating people makes them greedy and now we have to pay for it...i can't imagine how great it would be if we deregulated healthcare! you just have to think to yourself, "well if healthcare collapses, people will die and we won't have to pay for their illness. i mean, it's not me, and god was probably punishing them for something."

p.s. are you actually saying that the republicans don't use voter fraud/that they didn't use it in the last two elections?

I wonder if Obama plans to redistribute his wealth (you know, all that non-taxed money he, Dodd, Schumer, and Frank got from ACORN).

Something to ponder: and acorn is that which is not yet an oak!

Go ahead commies, lay into me.

Submitted by faux_paws on Fri, 10/10/2008 - 4:22pm.

in your last post you just said that they were giving money to acorn...now acorn is giving them money...which is it?

but you're right, obama is INCREDIBLY wealthy!!! i mean, he has the 8 houses, the jet, and more cars than he could ever need. it's probably because he married a beer heiress...sorry, i confused my candidates, or wait, was it you?

something to ponder: it's usually not a good argument tactic to point out an undesirable trait about your own candidate and project it onto someone else. obama is worth $800,000 and mccain is worth $36,400,000.

what do you suppose mccain is going to do with his wealth?
