Y team reporters saw the Tyrone police addressing an enterprising File supporter who had taken up Smola signs and replacing them with File signs around the Publix yesterday afternoon. He was in a tan Ford with a Nikki File car magnet. The stolen (yep it is a crime) Smola signs were in the bed of the truck and witnessed by the Tyrone PD.

Call them and get a copy of the report. Get the FACTS.

First these "supporters" threaten to beat up and bloody our BOE and now they steal. Obviously Saint Nick has gotten herself some quality supporters.

Please Janet, (oops, YohY), please do not mistake voter turnout as a lack of concern for our school systems.....people are exhausted! I mean exhausted! No matter what we try to do, it seems that we get the "I do what I want" response from Fayette county BOE.

Why bother, then, to attend school board meetings, when you continue to see nothing but shamelessly bad behaviour? I no longer have the
stomach for it - - no joke, these meetings make me physically ill!

Why bother to attend meetings where fellow board members (Marion Key & Dr. Todd) are badgered and bullied because Janet Smola, Terri Smith and empty-suit Lee Wright have a voting block that nullifies anything that they do or say?

And, Dr. DeCotis? Don't even get me started. The backwards-logic of our state government calls for the Superintendent to be appointed by the school board. No wonder he's afraid of his own shadow! You have his paycheck wrapped up so tightly, superman couldn't unravel it!

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! Nicole File has NO business ties to Fayette county government. She does however have a vested interest in keeping the BOE out of our pocket! She's a taxpayer with a conscience!

Let's give HER a chance to scrutinize the budget - - the painful, line by line kind of stuff! It might mean some job cuts, but NOT the front line educational delivery stuff like the BOE is trying to threaten. Let's look at best-practices from around the state and the country. Let's do something called DUE DILIGENCE! Let's involve our consituency in a meaningful way (Sam Sweat - - please don't facilitate or we will have another debacle like redistricting!)

No one said this s*** was easy - - Heavens knows, it's not!
But, I do ask that you attempt to propose sacrifices that do not
attack front-end educational delivery! How can you say you've made a good faith effort to do this, if we can't even get meeting minutes to determine when budget shortfalls were even discussed?

NF has said she has studied the school board "for two years", what has she learned. In two months, I have gone through literally ten reams of paper in two months learning everything I can about this financial situation. look at other BOEs and see what you find.

My point about turn out is simple, No politician will run saying "I will raise your taxes" and none of us, including me thought to ask. The webcasts will give us a little more data to work with than we have today.

In PTC, our minority (Sturbaum and mostly Haddix) blog right here and give us their opinion. I may or may not agree with them, but I am at least sure to read it. Marion Key or Bob Todd should be screaming from the mountain tops if something was amiss. Some of the public documents I reviewed seem to indicate at least one of them was there for the SPLOST discussion as there are 4-0 votes noted.

What will NF do about our funding crisis? Will she revisit redistricting? What experience does she have with corporate reorganizations?

Why do you feel it necessary to purposely misspell Nicole File's name? Is it because you desperately do not want her elected, and you know that since she is a write-in candidate, if her name is not properly spelled then the vote doesn't count? I think it is. For someone who seems so concerned with facts and doing away with nonsense, the hypocrisy is absurd. Hypocrite.

My opion is that our tax money is building schools as inticements, or extra topping for the developers to make a profit. Where these schools are built, helps no kids in Peachtree city.

And you want us to vote in SPLOST to put more money in the coffers? We are already are funding schools in the middle of no where that the school board bought up to 100 acres more at one school alone, and is hawking it now. Who do you think is going to buy that much land ...except developers?
