Look how Obama's goon squad is using Nazi tactics to thwart free speech:

You could have at least linked to some brainlessly fanatic rightwing blog/article that actually contained something close to what you said this article was about.

I actually read the article you linked...did you?

So it's okay if John McCain has law enforcement officials as part of his own "truth squad" in New Hampshire, but he's whining that Obama is doing the same thing in Missouri?

Talk about trying to have it both ways!

Also, in reading the article, the gist is that it is the APPEARANCE of law enforcement officials on a truth squad that is supposed to have some sort of "chilling effect" on the multitude of Republican liars?

It's important to not that these "truth squad" folks are not using the law or the courts to hold McCain's lying feet to the fire. They are simply using the press to point out the general lack of "truthiness" from the McCain folks.

While using to courts to suppress political speech is a bad idea, it does have one silver lining: If Obama was somehow able to use the courts to go after every lie told about him, Richard Hobbs would be on Death Row about now! Laughing out loud

I'm pleased with those media persons who are holding all the candidates feet to the fire with their 'truth squads'. The tricky statements are those considered 'misleading'. I think this year we're going to have a well-informed electorate. So many people - regardless of their party - are sick and tired of being pandered to by those who think 'we' are stupid!!
