$700 Billion to bail out banks.
Taliban thriving in Afghanistan.
Cost of Iraq war $1 Trillion and climbing.
4161 killed in Iraq.
America's economy came within hours of collapse on Wednesday.
Paulson. "The financial security of all Americans ... depends on our ability to restore our financial institutions to a sound footing."

And we are going to spend millions for a library to this moron's administration?

Millions for a Library for Big Shots!

You must understand that "private" money is used for these kind of things to make people remember someone whom they adored, forever if possible.

"Private," means someone who either worshiped or profited from the actions or in-actions of these kind of people. Also, it is a tax deduction.

We, as a people, are not much different than other countries in this kind of instance. We must go to our graves believing that we supported great people as our leaders--whether they were evil, dumb, or foolish!

If you travel much you will see all of these "heroes" stood up in bronze or something everywhere.
Fact is, 75-80% of them were either very evil, somewhat evil, thought they knew better what we wanted than we did as a whole, and really screwed up everything very badly due to non-cooperation only.
